USDY, the yield-bearing Treasury token from Ondo Finance, is now live on BNB Chain. With integrations via 1inch, Ledger, and LayerZero, it expands access to daily-yield dollars for millions of wallets and AI agents, advancing tokenized RWA adoption beyond Ethereum amid liquidity and regulatory challenges.

Yield-bearing stablecoin issuer USDY from Ondo Finance has started operations on BNB Chain, which allows access to the yield-bearing, dollar-backed token on-chain beyond Ethereum and Layer 2s.

The deployment of this service links USDY’s daily yield accrual with a network of hundreds of millions of wallets from BNB Chain and also their increasingly large AI agent ecosystem.USDY is currently natively issued on BNB Chain.

Infrastructure Powers Distribution

The key integrations that have been released are 1inch Ledger LI.FI, CoW Protocol, Trust Wallet, and LayerZero, which allow for swapping, custody through the use of blockchain, bridging, and wallet assistance.

Under the hood, BNB Chain is the provider of the infrastructure while USDY is released by a regulated unit of Ondo Finance. The rollout uses cross-chain LayerZero messenger to be able to move liquidity.

RWA Expands Beyond Ethereum

This new development allows tokenized Treasury assets to be readily accessible to both retail and institutional investors outside Ethereum. Developers will find that permissionless minting and redeeming with daily yield accrual provide them with some new and innovative primitives for payments as well as AI agent work on top of the BNB Chain.

With this product offering being compliant, exchanges and wallet providers get to present it to their customers and make money from it without having to build custody themselves. For BNB Chain, it’s very competitive to offer RWA as USDY is a major player. USDY strengthens BNB Chains’ RWA story, which in turn is going after institutional capital in 2026.

Liquidity, Compliance, and Adoption

Tokenized Treasuries have been exploding and institutions were looking for on-chain cash substitutes. Reflects a growing trend USDY but it faces a number of traditional obstacles: clear regulatory definition of yield-bearing tokens, deep liquidity in new chains, and user education.

Future steps will include tracking user base metrics for USDY on BNB Chain, further listings of USDY by other exchanges, and the regulatory position on daily-yield accrual across different jurisdictions. Sustainability of the system will rely on having a sufficient amount of liquidity and being as laws.
