Solana Price

Solana (SOL) is holding a crucial support zone, signaling strong buyer confidence and improving the outlook for further gains for the Solana price if resistance is cleared. Meanwhile, Defi Dev Corp. has backed Solana’s latest governance proposals, which aim to strengthen the network’s tokenomics by reducing supply growth and increasing token burns.

At the time of writing, SOL is trading at $74.14 with a 24-hour trading volume of $1.43 billion and a market capitalization of $43.09 billion. Following the 1.05% gain over the last 24 hours, the Solana price structure and network growth point to a bullish reversal ahead.

Solana Price Eyes $78 as Bulls Defend Reversal Zone

According to the crypto analyst BitGuru, the Solana price is currently trading around a significant reversal area following a bounce from its recent pullback, which means that there is significant buying interest around a crucial support region.

The positive response from the buyers has helped to lift market sentiment, which in turn has reduced any potential downside risks. The analysts expect that this is a result of increased demand.

Now, technical signals point to the $75-$77 price zone as being the next key resistance area. Breaking out above this price zone would affirm the bullish sentiment and encourage buying activity, paving the way for a challenge at the $78 resistance zone. But failing to break above this level might confine the Solana price to consolidation once again.

DFDV Backs Solana SIMDs to Strengthen SOL Value

The data from Defi Dev Corp. further highlighted that DFDV has voiced their endorsement of the proposed Solana governance improvements SIMD-0550 and SIMD-0553 as significant milestones towards the improvement of the network’s tokenomics in the future.

The firm described SIMD-0550 as an improvement that will help Solana quickly get to its target inflation rate of 1.5%, resulting in up to 18.9 million fewer SOL being minted over six years.

Simultaneously, the second solution, SIMD-0553, involves the implementation of transaction fees on the basis of resource consumption, which will be burned rather than using a flat-fee pricing system.

According to DFDV, the amount of tokens burned daily will increase to 7,500-9,000 SOL per day as compared to 648 SOL per day at the present time.

What happens next for Solana?

Solana’s future course of action on its price chart is dependent upon whether the bulls can push past the resistance levels at $75–$77 or not.

Succeeding in this task will help the Solana price climb to $78, while any failure will mean further consolidation. The developments in governance on Solana will also be of concern to investors.
