Shiba Inu Burn Rate Soars Beyond 10,000%: Here’s What It Could Mean

February 8, 2023 by Aishwarya shashikumar

The most popular dog-themed commodity on the bitcoin market made headlines once more. This time, Shiba Inu [SHIB] was in the news for its large increase in burn rate rather than for the presence of shibarium. Over the past several months, the meme token has experienced triple-digit and even four-digit price surges. The asset’s burn rate, however, reached over 10,000% today.

SHIB’s burn rate at the time of writing was 10,129%. The most recent action by Crypto.com has been connected to this sudden rise. In the last 24 hours, the greatest burn of 19,400,000 was recorded by wallet address 0x463…758. According to Etherscan data, the wallet address belongs to Crypto.com, which executed the transaction on February 7, 2023.

Overall, 20,929,491 SHIB tokens were burned throughout the day according to Shibburn. The quantity of Shiba Inu tokens in circulation decreased as a result of the burn, which was fueled by a total of 4 transactions.

The price of SHIB is anticipated to rise as burns increase. At the time of publication, the meme token had risen 1.35% on the day and was trading at $0.00001413.

The advent of Shibarium is likely to increase the frequency of burns of this scale in the ecosystem. As long as this continues, Shiba Inu’s price might eventually drop a zero and reach the $0.0001 mark.

Shiba Inu On A High Streak

The Shiba Inu network seemed to be having a terrific day. As of earlier today, there were 1.3 million holders of the meme currency, marking a new milestone. The network’s overall number of unique addresses has been hovering around 1.2 million zones for a while.

However, the network now has 1,300,815 addresses in total. There are an additional 14,645 active SHIB addresses in total. The impending launch of Shibarium was widely believed to be the cause of this surge.

Shiba Inu Burn Rate Rises: Battles To Win Back Confidence After FTX Crash

November 26, 2022 by Mishal Ali

Today, the Shiba Inu burn rate climbed by 252% over the previous 24 hours, as per the Shibburn Tracking Services website statistics. A total of 23,735,647 SHIB tokens have been burnt in the last 24 hours, along with ten transactions.

A few days ago, millions of SHIBs were delivered to dead wallets, causing Shiba Inu’s burn rate to reach a peak of 1,082%. In all, 134,952,334 SHIB tokens had been burnt in 10 transactions.

This high was last seen in October when there were around 154 million SHIB. Due to the recent unfavorable market circumstances, SHIB daily burns have decreased to only a few million and even as low as 4 million tokens.

Shiba Inu has had a tough time since FTX crashed. Cryptocurrency markets are feeling the pain from this recent event, but Shiba Inu has been hit harder than most cryptocurrencies.

Due to this decreased stability, the currency has moved down two spots to take up the 15th rank from its previous position as the 13th largest by market valuation.

However, the token is struggling to recoup its value. The CoinMarketcap’s data shows that it is currently trading at $0.000009244 with a gain of about 3% in both daily and weekly charts.

Shiba Inu Ecosystem Developments

Shiba Inu has been battling to win back the confidence of its investors and make up for losses incurred as a result of the FTX crash. This week was, therefore, jam-packed with exciting events.

Such as, the Shiba Inu team has declared that holders of this meme coin are eligible for the project’s “exclusive special” from the blockchain-based travel agency Travala. If users pay with SHIB, the service will give them a free $25 travel credit to spend toward booking hotels, flights, and activities.

We are excited to announce an exclusive special from our friends at Travala.

— Shib (@Shibtoken) November 24, 2022

After the well-known meme currency community succeeded in its “battle” with the competing canine coin Floki Inu back in December 2021, Travala decided to promote it. But in May of last year, the platform added support for Dogecoin, a competitor cryptocurrency to Shiba Inu.

The pseudonymous lead developer of the well-known meme currency Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, previously declared that they had been warmly asked to collaborate with the World Economic Forum with regard to their “MV global policy.”

#ShibArmy I need a quick vote: We have been kindly invited to work with the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM as it pertains to their MV global policy. Would love to know what you all think because it's not our decision, but yours.

— Shytoshi Kusama™ (@ShytoshiKusama) November 22, 2022

In order to find out whether the public supports a partnership between Shiba Inu and the WEF, Kusama conducted a Twitter poll. Currently, there have been around 22,775 votes, with the majority of supporters—about 63%—supporting such a partnership.

In a subsequent tweet, Kusama claims:

We would be at the table with policy makers and would help shape global policy for the MV alongside other giants like FB (bye Zuck), Sand, Decentraland etc. And please don’t ask my opinion, you already know.

Will SHIB Boom Over? Shiba Inu Burns Soars Over 600% In 24 Hours

November 12, 2022 by Mishal Ali

The Shibburn Tracking Services website, which tracks all SHIB burn transactions, reveals that the number of Shiba Inu being burned has increased dramatically by over 1594.61% in the past 24 hours.

This number is much lower than what we’ve seen in earlier this week when it was at its peak. Shiba Inu has been burning a lot of tokens recently, which has had the desired effect of making everyone happy, but will this lead to an eventual price recovery from its current low levels?

According to the data from Coinmarketcap, the token is currently trading at $0.000009883 with a loss of about 4% in the last 24 hours, as well as approximately a 21.92% loss over the previous seven days.

The token’s 24-hour volume is also experiencing a significant loss of roughly 51.83% to $341.85 million. From its All-Time High Price in October of last year, the token’s value is currently 88% lower.

There is more potential for losses, therefore, it appears that the bears are in a bad mood. However, based on the most current price forecast, by 2022, the token’s prices will fall by 66% year-over-year and reach $0.00001156 at the end of the period.

Despite this reduction, there is still an increasing rate for pricing up to now at 13%. With most of this rate increase occurring before 2023 when it reaches $0.001519 – which would be 48% higher than today’s value

SHIB Burn Transactions

The tokens have been burnt and transferred to dead-end wallets in the amount of somewhat less than 50 million (43,217,038) since yesterday morning, according to statistics released by Shibburn.

In all, there have been four transactions in the last 24 hours. The two most significant transactions, which were sent to the same account, were made about nine hours ago and included 10,000,000 and 1,999,999 Shiba Inus.

In the past hour, there have been a total of 11,999,999 $SHIB tokens burned and 2 transactions. #shibarmy

— Shibburn (@shibburn) November 11, 2022

The website reported earlier this week (on November 6th) that Shiba Inu’s burn soars by an additional 5,800%. The burn rate increased as more tokens—millions more—were delivered to dead wallets.

There have been nine transactions and the burning of 93,876,540 tokens in the previous 24 hours. Since just 2.1 million tokens were burnt the day before, this was a very substantial development.

However, for the time being, it is unclear if the most recent events will be able to propel the fourteenth cryptocurrency’s price higher, and will provide it with a much-needed positive lift.

Shiba Inu Burn Portal Reward Distribution Day Is Nearing

June 27, 2022 by Goku

The much anticipated Shiba Inu burn portal prizes, also known as Ryoshi Vision rewards, may be given out over the next 48 to 72 hours starting on June 26, according to a recent announcement made by the ShibaSwap DEX Twitter account.

After the release of the awards and subsequent completion, the ShibaSwap DEX team pledges to give further updates.

SHIB Burn Portal Rewards Update:

Ryoshi Vision rewards will be distributed in the next 48 to 72 hours.

We know this has been long awaited for all, and did not expect such delays. We will post another update upon release & completion.

Thank you for your patience, and support! pic.twitter.com/bgd3r23HJe

— ShibaSwapDEX (@ShibaSwapDEX) June 26, 2022

Shiba Inu burn page will incentivize the burners soon

Together with the developers of RYOSHIS VISION, an ERC20 token aiming to grow the Shiba Ecosystem, the Shiba Inu burn page was developed in late April.

The burn gateway was created to provide SHIB burners with a passive income acknowledgment in the form of RYOSHI Rewards, according to the Shiba Inu team. Additionally, 0.49 percent of all RYOSHI transactions will go to the owners of burntSHIB.

Additionally, it introduced the Shiba Burn Smart Contract, which projects may utilize to establish a “BURN Pool” and provide incentives for SHIB token burning.

Once the SHIB burn site appeared, SHIB owners went to burn their tokens in great numbers, resulting in an astounding eight billion tokens being destroyed in less than 24 hours. Since the original burn, which took place about two months ago, more SHIB tokens have been torched.

More than 56 billion SHIB tokens have reportedly been burnt according to the data from the burn portal. Users can permanently delete SHIB tokens from the available supply by sending them to a burn address. It is possible to somewhat raise the token’s scarcity by doing this, which might improve the token’s value.
