Tether, in an official release, announced that it would be a gold sponsor at the upcoming Cyber Warrior Hackathon 2025 in Thailand. Organized by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in cooperation with the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), the event is a significant step in the road map for Southeast Asia’s progress to becoming a digital region.
The hackathon is a place for tech professionals, law enforcement, and students to collaborate on real-world problems in cybercrime.
It aims to foster an effective relationship between private IT companies, governmental agencies, and academic institutions. Through this, participants are shown state-of-the-art methods in digital defense as they directly interact with experienced cybersecurity teams.
The program aims to provide hands-on education and an accredited non-degree certificate in cybersecurity. The KMUTT and the CCIB jointly developed the curriculum, focusing on hands-on practices.
The participants will also be certified as Cyber Eyes Volunteers under the CCIB, registered in KMUTT’s long-term learning system.
