  • Mythical Games launches FIFA Rivals globally on June 12 with Adidas digital collectibles.
  • FIFA Rivals follows Mythical’s hit crypto game NFL Rivals expanding blockchain sports gaming.
  • Adidas assets will be offered as in-game rewards boosting player engagement and ownership.

Mythical Games, a blockchain gaming studio, has confirmed the global launch of its crypto-powered soccer title, FIFA Rivals, scheduled for June 12. The game will feature Adidas-branded digital assets from the outset, facilitated by a new multi-year licensing agreement with the sportswear brand. Players will gain access to exclusive Adidas kits, jerseys, and virtual shoes, all connected to the iconic football brand’s heritage.

FIFA Rivals brings Adidas’ football heritage into the cryptocurrency gaming world. Players can buy, sell, or collect distinct Adidas digital items as unique, tradable assets. Additionally, a virtual Adidas Training Facility will be incorporated into the game enabling players to upgrade their team cards and finish tasks to unlock extra rewards.

Digital Collectibles Boost Player Engagement in FIFA Rivals

FIFA Rivals is a mobile football game that curates official FIFA licensing with fast arcade action and blockchain features. With crypto technology Mythical Games gives players actual ownership of their in-game assets. Adidas gear, player cards, and other digital items are represented as collectibles on the blockchain, with secure ownership and easy trading on the Mythical Marketplace.

The game features a crypto-enabled ecosystem in which players can build their dream squads, engage with the global community, and compete in real-time PvP matches. Users have full control of their digital collections and can buy, sell and trade assets. Furthermore, FIFA Rivals takes a different approach to traditional mobile games, which makes the gameplay transparent and more engaging for both crypto and football fans.

Mythical Games CEO John Linden added that by integrating Adidas, the players will now be better connected to the culture of football. The partnership indicates a new milestone for digital brands in the crypto gaming space, featuring the reach of global sports and the advantages of blockchain technology.

Major Crypto Backing and New Digital Collectibles

Mythical Games has garnered investment from key stakeholders in the crypto/Web3 space, including a16z, ARK Invest and Animoca Brands. The company’s blockchain based games have already processed $650 million in transactions with over seven million users. The addition of Adidas to FIFA Rivals highlights growing interest in the intersection of crypto gaming and sports.

Additionally, players will be able to collect limited edition crypto assets associated with real-world football moments, such as when a special Adidas in-game event takes place and digital drops. Through the blockchain infrastructure, the Mythical Marketplace will support secure trading and ownership of all forms of digital collectibles.
