Well-known crypto analyst Chris Burniske has boldly predicted the future of Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency in the market. Burniske, known for his insightful commentary on digital assets, recently took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the potential of ETH.

As more and more individuals turn to blockchain technology for various purposes, including financial transactions and smart contracts, the demand for ETH is likely to increase significantly.

According to Burniske’s tweet, many skeptics have been negative about Ethereum at various price points, including $1, $10, $100, and $1,000. However, he believes these critics will be proven wrong in the long run.

He predicts Ethereum could soar to $10,000 by 2025, a staggering increase from its current price point. Nevertheless, he did not provide any specific reasons for his prediction.

Ethereum’s Shapella Upgrade: Impact On ETH Price & Staking

Ethereum (ETH) has recently crossed the $1,900 mark, reaching its highest level since August 2021. The second-largest market cap cryptocurrency currently trades at $1,896, with a 3.11% gain over the past 24 hours and a 5% increase over the past seven days.

Ethereum’s upcoming hard fork on April 12, Shapella, aims to address staked ETH withdrawals, leading market participants to believe it may increase the price.

However, according to Brian Mosoff, CEO of Ether Capital, the Shapella upgrade is unlikely to impact the price of ether significantly. Mosoff believes that the upgrade will not cause a rush to liquidate and lead to pressure on the cryptocurrency’s price.

Instead, he expects more ETH to be locked into staking, either from solo stakers or structured products, leading to changes in trading in the coming months.

The Shapella upgrade is Ethereum’s final shift towards fully implementing its proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. It will allow users to withdraw from the ETH they have staked, lower fees, and create more room on the blockchain to handle transactions.

Mosoff also expects that the upgrade could attract a new group of investors, as it provides the ability to earn some yield on staked ETH.
