Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson working on a collaborative album with Paul Oakenfold

Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson has teamed up with legendary British record producer and famous trance DJ Paul Oakenfold. According to the reports, Hoskinson is closely working alongside Oakenfold to release a full-length album to the blockchain dubbed “Zombie Lobster.”

Once completed, all the components of the album, from the cover art, tracks to sleeve notes, will live on the ADA blockchain.

Following the development, Hoskinson was quoted saying,

“Getting to learn about the electronic music industry, and how the blockchain can support it, has been a revelation. Understanding how a blockchain like Cardano can benefit producers and managers like Alon Shulman, artists like Paul Oakenfold and Carl Cox, organizations like Universe and labels like Awesome Soundwave and Perfecto, and the scale of what they achieve will enable us to connect our technology to their creativity.”

The news comes days after Billy Gibbons, the American rock musician, who is best known for being the guitarist and primary vocalist of ZZ Top, picked the Cardano blockchain to launch his newly played pieces of music as non-fungible tokens [NFT].

Cardano forges multiple partnerships

The latest development also comes in the heels of the ecosystem establishing multiple partnerships at the highly-anticipated Cardano Summit 2021. The Alonzo upgrade paved the way for significant integrations and partnerships dedicated to fostering the blockchain’s adoption and utilization.

The most prominent one was the integration of Cardano and wireless service provider Dish Network to offer digital identity services to the consumer base of the latter. Next up was the high-profile partnership with the decentralized blockchain oracle network, Chainlink, to help ADA devs create smart contracts for secure decentralized finance [DeFi] applications.

Besides, the Cardano foundation also unveiled a partnership with popular esports and gaming platform Rival. The main objective of the deal is to build agnostic NFT marketplaces, fan rewards, etc., for Rival and their partners.

In addition to these partnerships, the Hoskinson-led platform also announced a strategic collaboration with UBX, a fintech and investment company that is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Union Bank of the Philippines. The foundation revealed that UBX is launching its public stake pool featuring Cardano.
