What Does the Drop in ADA’s Price Mean for Long-term Holders? | Bitcoinsensus.Com

Cardano has announced several updates to its platform in its weekly development report, including the release of Cardano node v.8.0.0 and Lace version 1.1.0.

The latest release introduces a new governance action that facilitates conducting on-chain SPO polls, as well as versioned serialization formats for the ledger, and a fairness improvement in the mempool logic.

The team also improved the Conway ledger era and node integration. As for Lace, the latest version brings several improvements and features for better user experience, including the ability to recover wallets using a recovery phrase and view prices of available native tokens.

In addition, the Marlowe Runtime and Marlowe Explorer have been improved, while the Plutus tools team continued to work on documentation of the Marconi-sidechain architecture and the redesign of resuming capabilities.

The Mithril team also released a new 2318.0 distribution that implements the last migration phase of the aggregator stores and embeds the bug fix for the signer registration.

Furthermore, IOG, EMURGO, and the Cardano Foundation announced the successful applicants for CIP-1694 workshop grants. The workshops, which will take place from May to July, will explore the latest developments in Cardano’s on-chain governance proposed in CIP-1694.

Cardano: 126 Launches, 1,240 Projects, 8.24m Tokens & More

To date, there have been 126 projects launched on Cardano and 1,240 projects building on Cardano, with 8.24m native tokens, 73,114 token policies, and 7,962 Plutus scripts.

Furthermore, the team reported that 2,463 of these Plutus scripts are Plutus V2 scripts, while the total number of transactions input output stands at 66.3m.

The Daedalus team has been working on the creation of a proxy server to improve the reliability of the currency conversion feature.

Additionally, they worked on defining ways to introduce Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet support in cardano-js-sdk to allow Daedalus users to import multi-address wallets into Lace.

The Adrestia team also worked on separating the balance TX library and made some database enhancements, while the Plutus core team improved the Plutus Tx standard library to boost the efficiency of functions that operate on lists.

However, the updates made to the platform continue to enhance its capabilities and improve the user experience. The CIP-1694 workshop grants also demonstrate the team’s commitment to involving the community in the development of its on-chain governance.

Nevertheless, with the team working hard to bring new features and improvements to Cardano, the future of the platform looks bright.
