The founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, is in the limelight. He is currently trying to explain the problems Nami is facing along with its competitor, Lace Wallet. Hosinkos made it known that a team has been put together with the ambition to address concerns about the implementation of Nami, including the slowness of fetching ADAHandles.
In a recent X post, Hoskinson presented the issue in the form of a concrete example, where a user is greeted with a delay in inputting handles, just like when there is a delay in destination updating from $NFT to $NFTs. To minimize additional problems, the team has taken the preventive measure to revoke the ADAHandles within the Nami wallet momentarily.
Cardano’s ADAHandles Temporarily Disabled Amid Development
Work on solution development and testing is in progress; however, until then, HOSIKONSON noted that ADAHandles will be disabled temporarily. On top of that, the team has also sent the disabling code to Google for approval as the next step, and in the meanwhile users are advised not to use Nami wallet for a few hours.
Also, the Lace Wallet of Cardano, which was undergoing different upgrades, remained free from the issues that Nami faced. Hoskinson gave empathy to the users who experienced problems and acknowledged their anger.
Cardano acquired Nami to improve adoption in the community; however, Nami’s malfunction has shown us the need for Native solutions to the protocol. Therefore, Lace Wallet has continuously been subjected to profound improvements to reinforce its robustness.
The latest version of Lace Wallet 1.7 is now out, which added so many features, enhancements, and improvements to its multi-staking capability and stake pool management system. In spite of this progress, Nami’s wallet continued to be in demand.
Cardano’s choice of the Nami acquisition was a means of moving towards the user interface that is formed on the IOG engineering standards. While the migration process, according to Hoskinson, could take time, the risks of unwanted bugs cannot be neglected, as is the case with Nami today.
Hoskinson’s explanation signifies Cardano’s eagerness to fix the problems surrounding Nami and quickly resume its services for its users. Despite the current efforts toward improvement, Cardano will always be determined to make the experience for the community as smooth and stable as possible.
