Cardano’s March 2024 Priorities Co-Signed By ADA Creator Charles Hoskinson

In a collaborative effort to steer Cardano towards greater resilience and security, prominent Cardano contributor Rick McCracken has outlined three pivotal priorities for the ADA community in March 2024. Backed by a co-signature from Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of ADA, these priorities underscore the collective commitment to fortifying ADA’s infrastructure.

McCracken’s insights shed light on critical areas demanding immediate attention. Foremost among these is the urgent need to update pools to the latest 8.7.3 full P2P version. With a significant 68% of reporting Stake Pool Operators (SPOs) already on board, this patch release addresses a critical bug in the outbound governor, bolstering the network’s defenses against potential vulnerabilities.

Another key focus highlighted by McCracken is the deployment of Mithril, a protocol crucial for enhancing ADA’s defense mechanisms against potential attacks. Presently, only 15% of staked ADA are utilizing this essential feature, highlighting the need for broader adoption to ensure robust network security.

Furthermore, McCracken emphasizes the imminent necessity of stress-testing SanchoNet, the testnet designed to roll out groundbreaking governance features for the ADA blockchain. With 23 Decentralized Representatives (DReps) and 29 stake pools actively engaged, the forthcoming Chang HFC event in three months underscores the urgency for rigorous stress and battle testing in the coming months.

Cardano Community Unites

The endorsement of McCracken’s priorities by Charles Hoskinson amplifies their significance within the Cardano community. Hoskinson shared the article penned by McCracken across his social media platforms, signaling a unified commitment to fortifying Cardano’s infrastructure and ensuring its resilience against evolving challenges.

This collaborative endeavor serves to underscore the significant importance of the specified priorities, highlighting the unified commitment of stakeholders toward enhancing Cardano’s capabilities and ensuring its resilience within the dynamic and ever-evolving blockchain domain.

The joint endorsement emphasizes a shared dedication among community members, developers, and leaders to fortify Cardano’s infrastructure, enhance its functionalities, and uphold its prominence amidst the rapidly changing landscape of blockchain technology.

As March unfolds, the ADA community, led by McCracken and backed by Hoskinson’s endorsement, remains steadfast in its pursuit of enhancing Cardano’s security, scalability, and governance, setting the stage for continued growth and innovation within the ecosystem.
