Dogecoin co-founder has nothing to do with SHIB; Requests SHIB army to stop “screaming”

Meme coins have been flourishing in the crypto market. Dogecoin [DOGE] and Shiba Inu [SHIB] have been residing under the crypto spotlight for quite some time now. This, however, seemed to be brewing a sort of rivalry between the communities of both the assets. With the intention of putting a stop to this, the co-founder of Dogecoin, Billy Markus took to Twitter and announced that he had nothing to do with Shiba Inu.

Over the last couple of weeks, Shiba Inu [SHIB] grew to amass immense popularity. From getting listed on prominent crypto exchanges to getting widely adopted by restaurants, firms, and other businesses across the globe, SHIB certainly formulated a significant place for itself. Despite being new to the market, the asset climbed up the crypto ladder and secured a spot in the top 10, and even gave DOGE a run for its money.

While DOGE is back on top, SHIB was at the 11th position as its price was sinking by 10%. Amidst this trend reversal, the co-founder of the Dogecoin network, Billy Markus decided to address the consistent spam he was receiving from the SHIB community.

Dogecoin co-founder calls out SHIB community

In a recent tweet, Markus pointed out that he had nothing to do with the Shib Inu project. The constant spam messages he amassed from the SHIB community even forced Markus to negate his contact information from his website.

The tweet read,

“BTW, I have nothing to do with the SHIB project. I made dogecoin 8 years ago and barely have anything to do with dogecoin.

I removed the contact form from my website as it was getting spammed with people from SHIB community screaming at me about their token.

Don’t do that.”

Dogecoin has garnered the support of an array of people. However, Elon Musk has been one of the network’s prominent supporters. Additionally, a couple of days ago the network even named Musk its fake CEO.
