Institutional Investors Hoarding Solana and XRP Could Be Switching Focus to This New PayFi Altcoin Tipped for 10x Growth

By Vaigha Varghese | Edited By Vaigha Varghese,February 23, 2025, 7:05 PM

Altcoin

Meme coins, AI tokens, and real-world assets have suffered major losses this year, leaving many institutional investors searching for fresh opportunities amid Solana Price speculation. While Solana and XRP have long held star power in the payments and smart contract arenas, growing signs suggest that major players may shift their gaze toward a new PayFi contender on the rise. The altcoin in question? Remittix, a project aiming to merge crypto’s speed with the convenience of fiat. Could it be poised for 10x growth as 2025 unfolds?

XRP ETF Hopes Spark Renewed Interest

Could XRP surge After ETF Approval?

XRP continues to draw attention due to speculation over a possible U.S. exchange-traded fund (ETF). After years of legal wrangling with the SEC, the crypto landscape in 2025 is shifting. A pro-crypto president and an evolving regulatory climate have revived discussions about XRP’s status, fueling hopes that it might soon secure ETF approval.

According to Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett, new 19b-4 filings mean the SEC faces a 240-day countdown to decide on an XRP investment product. This puts the asset back in the spotlight, with investors buzzing about whether an ETF launch might spark a surge in liquidity. Meanwhile, Brazil has approved its first Ripple-based ETF, raising optimism that North America could follow suit.

Still, uncertainty remains. Much of XRP’s growth hinges on regulatory green lights, and past delays have taught traders to temper expectations. That backdrop is prompting a portion of XRP holders to look around for other high-upside plays, especially as the market’s appetite shifts toward tokens with tangible utility and more immediate prospects.

Solana Price Stumbles Amid Scandal

“Solana’s Price” has become a hotly debated topic after February’s meltdown, when a brand-new meme coin, LIBRA, soared and then crashed spectacularly. High-profile endorsements led to a buying frenzy that enriched insiders before leaving everyday traders holding the bag. The event spilt over into Solana’s ecosystem, pulling in major projects like Meteora—a key liquidity provider—and Jupiter, the network’s leading DEX.

As scrutiny intensifies over whether insiders exploited privileged information, Solana’s Price remains volatile. SOL currently trades at $172.11, marking a 16.7% dip in the past week and a 34.8% monthly decline. Even with rumors of a possible ETF on the horizon, analysts predict that Solana’s Price must break $200 before any talk of hitting $500 can be entertained. The recent LIBRA debacle has cast a shadow on the broader community, leaving many institutional investors wary until new regulations provide clarity.

While some continue to accumulate SOL at lower levels, others doubt if Solana Price can rebound quickly given the ecosystem’s ongoing reputation challenges. Against this turbulent backdrop, many high-net-worth players are investigating alternative tokens with more transparent track records.

Remittix: The Emerging PayFi Giant

As caution mounts around Solana Price’s movements and XRP’s regulatory path, Remittix is catching the eye of institutional investors who see cross-border payments as a critical growth sector. Unlike platforms mired in controversy, Remittix focuses on a straightforward promise: send crypto in, get fiat out, anywhere in the world.

Analysts anticipate Remittix might replicate some of XRP’s early success, thanks to its PayFi protocol, which merges decentralized finance with standard banking rails. By connecting a crypto wallet, users specify how much they wish to send, and Remittix automatically converts it into local currency for near-instant bank transfers. This real-world utility is particularly compelling in regions where banking access is limited—according to Global Finance (2021), nearly half the population in parts of Africa and the Middle East are unbanked.

One example: a small exporter in Brazil sells coffee to a distributor in Europe. Traditionally, they endure hefty wire fees and slow settlement times. With Remittix, the distributor pays in stablecoins or another cryptocurrency, which is then converted and deposited into the exporter’s local bank within 24 hours. These tangible benefits have attracted over $12 million in presale funds, and many predict the token could see a 10x surge if PayFi adoption rises.

Remittix’s momentum isn’t fueled by hype alone. Its locked liquidity, ongoing audits, and upcoming launch on both centralized exchanges and Uniswap signal a well-planned approach to ensuring investor confidence. While NFT mania, AI projects, and meme tokens flounder, Remittix’s steady growth suggests a hunger for tokens that tackle real financial problems.

A New Chapter in Crypto’s Payments Race

Between XRP’s possible ETF approval and Solana Price uncertainties, the market is at a crossroads. Institutional investors are re-evaluating portfolios, eager to find the next wave in cross-border remittances. Remittix has risen as a leading contender—offering straightforward utility, transparent fees, and a model that’s already resonating with everyday users.

If PayFi gains traction, Remittix may well outstrip stagnating assets. Its ability to serve both developed and emerging markets could spark a ripple effect that drives broader crypto adoption. In a landscape where hype tokens fade and regulatory clarity slowly emerges, PayFi altcoin’s emphasis on real-world solutions may be the key that unlocks its promised 10x growth.
