BTFS or BitTorrent File System (BTFS) decentralized protocol is now said to be more efficient, scalable, stable and predictable as the team has launched beta version 1.0.2. Accordingly, the team BitTorrent took to Twitter and states that developers are 100% ready to access BTFS network”. It tweeted as follows;

“We’re excited to announce that BitTorrent File System (BTFS) Mainnet v1.0.2 Beta is officially launched! BTT is now BTFS Mainnet native token. For developers, you’re 100% ready to access the BTFS network.”

With an aim to create a fully decentralized storage network, the team has also integrated BTT crypto token on BTFS as the main incentive on the network. This will likely pave the way for the greater use-case of the network as users with BTT token as an incentive is expected to share idea disk space. Moreover, reports also highlight that the network is soon launching ‘user-friendly BTFS Host WebUI’ which will help non-techies to earn BTT by becoming a host on the network.

Interestingly, the official blog of BitTorrent hints that ‘BTFS will deliver a next-generation decentralized storage service to countless users”. It also notes that the platform is aiming to join hands with “top-notch developers’ across the world to launch ‘a series of premium Apps in early 2020.

“To put it simply, BTFS breaks the monopoly of all centralized forms of file uploading and downloading, mentioned BitTorrent. It gives freedom back to everyone, reminds us of our original motive to invent cloud storage and keeps “torrents” that used to easily go missing more secured.”

Explaining about BTT integration, BitTorrent highlights that the new feature inspires and encourages content creators to earn and spend cryptocurrencies on their own. They can do so without any third party but by sharing their storage spaces ‘that boost resource utilization’.

“We firmly believe that by putting BTT (BitTorrent Token) into an actual use case, this major upgrade of BTFS Mainnet will fully release the potential of BTT (BitTorrent Token) and bring BTFS closer to its users, It further added.”
