Norwegian Bitcoin Millionaire Nearly Lost His Life after Robber Pointed a Gun to His Head

September 9, 2019 by Tabassum Naiz

A Bitcoin multi-millionaire in Norwegian jumped from his second-floor balcony to save his life as well as the crypto fortune he owned.

Why Shouldn’t You Disclose about Your Crypto Riches

Recently a local report reveals that the victim was an owner of bitcoins worth millions and he was in the spotlight with the money he’d made from cryptocurrency. This might be one of the reasons a bitcoin robber pointed a gun to his head as soon as he reportedly went to door for seeing who was ringing the doorbell. Reports further reveal that the robber threatened him to shoot and said: “Lie down, or I’ll shoot.”

The victim somehow escaped from his house by reportedly jumped from the balcony of his very own home’s second-floor.

As per the reports, the case will be heard in October in a Norwegian court. As a matter of fact, this case brings into notice that crypto hackers or attackers aren’t just restricted to websites or online portals. Instead, this case points out the precise reason why shouldn’t one disclose his crypto holdings publicly.

As for the Norweigan bitcoin millionaire, he worked for almost a decade, and he reportedly owns over 100 million NOK equals to $11 million.

Reports mentioned about 51 similar crypto attacks that had happened in the past. The latest example comes from India. A 24-year-old individual from the state of India, Kerala was found murdered after his partners tortured and beaten him to gain access to cryptocurrency worth nearly $68 million.

Quick Tips

No matter how rich you become in the crypto industry, maintaining silence is the ultimate way to avoid such risks. This is true because the bitcoin can be easily accessible if hackers/robbers managed to get passcodes from the holders whereas, in the case of fiat holding, banks take care of your money on your behalf.

If at all, you’ve encountered such situations, you can either escape using all possible ways you could, or you can always have two different or multiple accounts wherein one account with some amount of BTC/tokens can be used to conciliate attackers.
