Paco the Runner Travelled 40 Countries in 400 Days With Only Bitcoin in His Pocket

Paco de la India, popularly known as Paco the Runner, began his voyage on September 17, 2021, with the aid of Bitcoiners all across the world. “Bitcoin gives everyone freedom in the way they want it,” he explains.

Paco the Runner switched from “living a lie on the currency standard” to “exploring the world on Bitcoin” after getting the Bitcoin Standard from a good friend (BTC). Due to his reading and subsequent talks with friends about money and the nature of the world, he went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole.

Paco the Runner ran the world with the freedom of Bitcoin

“On a full moon night, a friend asked whether I wanted to travel the globe. Yes, I replied. He responded, ‘You have to travel on Bitcoin.’

Paco’s vacation plans quickly morphed into a “Bitcoin awareness, global acceptance, and demonstrating the kindness of humanity” campaign. Through travel vlogs and social media updates, he documents the journey and every Bitcoin transaction.

“It’s a joy to be able to share Bitcoin with people from all walks of life,” he says. One of the best efforts is a presentation to the general public on the importance of Bitcoin in comparison to shitcoins.”

He’s made it through the first seven nations of his voyage on BTC alone.

He also describes his arrival on Koh Samui, a Thai island known for its anti-Bitcoin attitude. He was afraid since it was a brand-new island with a length of 100 kilometers. “How will I survive on such a large island without any money?” Paco pondered aloud.

Fortunately, he continued going across the island and “discovered a sign indicating the restaurant accepts Bitcoin after 200 meters.” “It’s almost as though the universe came together to make this happen.”

A Cambodian banana bread machine, “haircuts, burgers, Tuk-tuk, dentists,” and even a “silver coin” purchased with BTC are among the items on the list.

Although it is not easy, Paco the Runner recommends other would-be Bitcoin tourists start small.
