SHIB Takes Center Stage In bankrupt VGX’s Crypto Transfer Of $9.6M

Cryptocurrency worth a staggering $9.6 million, including a massive amount of SHIB, has been transferred from the accounts of North American crypto broker Voyager to centralized exchanges such as Coinbase, Binance US, and Kraken.

PeckShieldAlert reported this transfer on February 1st. The transferred assets include 4.9 million VGX tokens worth approximately $2.1 million, 221,000 LINK tokens worth $1.5 million, 3,050 ETH worth around $3 million, and 270 billion SHIB.

SHIB Dominates VGX Crypto Transfer

PeckShieldAlert’s tweet has sparked interest among the cryptocurrency community as the transfer of these assets takes place in the aftermath of Voyager’s bankruptcy.

Of the total transfer, SHIB emerged as the most dominant asset, with 270 billion units worth around $3 million. This transfer has resulted in VGX’s address 0x500a being ranked as the 18th largest holder of SHIB, with 6.8T tokens still remaining in its accounts.

Transferring these assets to centralized exchanges highlights the challenges businesses operating in the cryptocurrency industry face and the importance of responsible management practices.

However, it also signals a significant shift in the distribution of Voyager’s assets. It is not yet clear what the ultimate fate of these funds will be or who will ultimately take possession of them.

FCF Pay Reports Record High In SHIB Payments

FCF Pay, a blockchain payment system that issues virtual crypto debit cards, has seen an all-time high in payments made with Shiba Inu tokens. Six months after adding support for the token, the platform has witnessed a surge in usage of the token for card recharge.

In addition, FCF Pay also supports other ecosystem tokens, such as BONE and LEASH. Its prepaid virtual debit card program offers all three, allowing users to recharge up to $5,000 with their preferred cryptocurrency.

The news of FCF Pay’s record high comes on the heels of Binance Pay’s integration of Shiba Inu, further increasing the token’s reach as a payment option.

Binance Pay is just one of many crypto payment services now supporting the token, enabling its use for buying digital gift cards or topping up mobile balances in Bahrain and beyond.
