Shiba Inu Lead Dev Criticizes SHIB Army Over This

Shiba Inu’s upcoming launch of its layer-2 solution is keeping the community hooked. But now it seems the SHIB army is getting impatient as an exact launch date is yet to be announced.

Recently, the project’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama got a bit overwhelmed when asked again to provide a hint of the release date.

In his Telegram group called “All Things Shibarium,” he expressed frustration with the “lack of empathy” saying, “I’m pushing as quickly as possible and such a lack of empathy is the root of the issue.”

He claimed that he is basically tired of being harassed about it by the SHIB army and that this was one of the issues that is impeding the launch.

When asked if the launch would be delayed once more [some even suggested that 2024 be the new launch year, Kusama said that since he hadn’t initially established a specific date for the debut, it couldn’t be delayed.

The main developer teased members earlier this week with the mysterious phrase “things come way before May,” igniting rumors of an impending launch. He even went on to claim that the launch might happen sooner than they had anticipated.

Prior to that, the anonymous project lead announced that Shibarium was ready, and the community will receive the beta.

Last week, Shiba Inu’s price fell over 20% as the Layer 2 scaling protocol was speculated to go live on Valentine’s Day.

Shiba Inu Project Lead Locked Shibarium’s Telegram Channel

When members complained over the lack of excitement, Kusama responded that it was just “temporary”.

Still, he was unable to guarantee any precise information regarding the release.

With that, the Shiba Inu developer poured cold water that the scaling protocol would be released on Valentine’s Day, something he was hinting at before by suggesting earlier that it would arrive in a “heart-shaped box.”

As of now, Kusama has locked the Shibarium telegram channel saying that the group would be reopened once all documents were released. Till then it will only post official messages.

Nonetheless, there have been multiple delays with the rollout thus far. It was initially scheduled for Q3 of 2022, but it was later moved to Q4 and then early 2023.
