Developers of the Shiba Inu layer-2 scaling protocol have released new functionality. According to a screenshot sent out by a prominent SHIB member, Shibarium will now have a “Donate” option. This is set to empower the SHIB community to make financial contributions to non-profit validators, playing a vital role in upholding the efficiency and security of the Shibarium network. The Shibarium website outlined further details in their blog post.

Our users can now support the sustenance and growth of these validators, bolstering the overall integrity and resilience of the Shibarium network.
The blog post also promises a seamless donation experience. “Supporting Non-Profit Validators In our unwavering commitment to cultivating a supportive and inclusive ecosystem, we have introduced an intuitive donation system that allows users to seamlessly contribute funds to their preferred non-profit validators.”
This feature enables users to actively participate in sustaining and advancing these validators, thereby fortifying the overall integrity and resilience of the Shibarium network. To make a donation, one first needs to visit the validator information page from the comprehensive list of all validators. Then, click on the Donate button and select the token along with the desired amount one wishes to contribute.

Shytoshi Kusama, the principal developer of Shiba Inu, took action against a scammer promoting a fake version of the upcoming tokens. As detailed by TronWeekly, Kusama publicly called out an X user who allegedly was promoting a fraudulent TREAT token and SHI stablecoin. The user had posted a message encouraging others to explore the purportedly new launches of SHIB, the TREAT token, and the SHI stablecoin.
