Shiba Inu has unveiled the newest member—SHEboshis—of its proprietary Shiboshi NFT addition. Built on the experimental DN404/ERC-404 standard, the meme coin ecosystem aims to leverage the synergy of the ERC-20 and ERC-721 standards and introduce liquidity and fractional ownership in the NFT space. In short, these soon-to-be-released hybrid tokens promise both uniqueness and shared ownership, unlocking new ways for ownership and trade.
According to Shiba Inu influencer Lucie, the team plans to begin the next phase of Shib NFTs by releasing the first claimable set to SHEboshi and LEASH holders for free. Should any SHEboshis remain, they will be available for public acquisition. Regarding the proceeds, Lucie revealed that 50% is allocated as follows: 6% SHIB burns, 1% Burn BONE, 1% Burn Leash, 1% Burn Treat [set aside for future, not launched yet] 1% Burn Shi [set aside for future, not launched yet].
10% would be dedicated to non-profits. 15% reserve for the Foundation [TBD at the launch of Shibdentity-enabled DAO]. 15% Team. The remaining 50% will go towards expenses and treasury.
Because of the very nature of the DN404/ERC404 standards, which are experimental, SHEboshis will be minted on the Ethereum network and is slated to go live on Uniswap and ShibaSwap, with plans to bridge to layer-2 scaling protocol Shibarium shortly.
