This holiday season, the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency community is ablaze with rumors as a result of lead developer Shytoshi Kusama’s “We are not alone” status update on Twitter.
Fans of SHIB are speculating about the status update on social media sites in the hopes that there will be more to come. Additionally, Kusama’s Twitter profile currently reads, “With a new fren…guess who?”
Shiba Inu community bracing for a major announcement
The army is eagerly awaiting more details on a possible announcement, though it’s not yet clear what it might be. Shiba Inu might collaborate with another cryptocurrency project, or it might have something to do with the eagerly anticipated release of the Shibarium Layer 2 solution.
Kusama earlier tweeted holiday greetings and emphasized the significance of 2023 for humanity, urging everyone to take advantage of these last few days before the year 2023. The developer most importantly stated that Shibarium would be available “very soon.”
Shibarium’s introduction would be very welcome news given the rocky ride the SHIB token has had this year. The meme cryptocurrency has lost about 90% of its value since it peaked last October.
It is important to note that SHIB fans might not want to interpret the developer’s most recent status update too literally. Kusama apologized last week to members of the community who believed they had been misled by a “special countdown” tweet sent out by Shiba Inu’s official Twitter account a few weeks ago.
The SHIB Social Network has been active for 24 hours, according to a tweet from the official account for the Shib army news website, @theshibdream, and users have begun to enter it.
Users of the SHIB social network can post their own articles and blog entries, play games, visit websites related to the SHIB, read the news feed, watch movies, and even apply for jobs.
The SHIB army is one of the most active and devoted crypto communities, and by launching the social network, they have further demonstrated this. It will be interesting to see if it gains popularity among SHIB fans as well.
