Shiba Inu: “Shibarium Mainnet To Go Live In 2 to 4 Months”

Shiba Inu’s project lead Shytoshi Kusama shed more light on upcoming projects in the meme token ecosystem and more importantly the estimated dates for the launch of the Shibarium mainnet.

In an exclusive interview with IBT, Kusama stated that the focus for its scaling solution is “building systems” and making sure that the “team and tech” are in the right place,

The anonymous main developer stated that they preferred to avoid controversy and politics in the crypto industry and that their “next job is [to be the project’s] systems designer.”

“This means ticket system, support, onboarding,” he explained.

Apart from that, Kusama also teased “some surprises to help move businesses that don’t understand the MV [metaverse]” and disclosed that they are also working on “UI [user interface] for some secret projects”

Shibarium might be deployed in “two to four months,” according to the Shiba Inu developer, indicating that the community may expect to have access to the layer-2 scalability solution this year, much to the delight of the Shib army.

“We are moving faster than we did previously,” he added.

A section of the community members has frequently criticized the project head for keeping quiet about the mainnet debut. Kusama, however, asserts that this is being done to avoid unfounded rumors that might have adverse effects.

According to him, “the FUD [fear, uncertainty, doubt] about ‘we didn’t get in’ is a non-issue,” because “people misunderstand” that “everyone is in” and the application is “simply for us to offer support and answer questions.”

Further, Kusama also dispelled rumors that the Shiba Inu team had turned down several project submissions that were spreading online.

Having said that, the interview comes in the midst of Shibarium’s testnet’s explosive growth, which saw an astounding 13 million wallets count and over 3.5 million transactions, in a testament to its growing popularity,

Shiba Inu’s Testnet Score A New Milestone

Although still in the testing phase, many projects have expressed interest in integrating the Shibarium protocol with their platforms once it is launched on the mainnet.

One such example is the new mysterious billion-dollar project called the Koyo platform.

As reported by TronWeekly, Koyo aims to generate significant SHIB burns and trading volumes worth billions of dollars at the Shibarium debut, giving the platform a boost in utility.

The community-driven project executed its largest burn transaction by sending 924,150,949 [924.15 million] SHIB to the dead wallet on March 17.
