Shiba Inu’s Shytoshi Kusama- “Won’t Stop Shibarium Whatsoever”

Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama took many by surprise when he polled the SHIB community over a request for collaboration from the World Economic Forum. According to Kusama’s tweet, the WEF’s invitation to work relates to their global Metaverse policy.

Highlighting the significance of the invitation he stated,

We would be at the table with policymakers and would help shape global policy for the MV alongside other giants like FB (bye Zuck), Sand, Decentraland, etc. And please don’t ask my opinion, you already know. Would love to know what you all think because it’s not our decision, but yours.

At the time of writing this article, over 63% backed the proposal, 26% voted against it and 10% said it doesn’t matter.

While many community members responded positively, some have voiced concern that the team would divert from the much-anticipated layer-2 project Shibarium.

“..that means you stop working on the shibarium then NO! Get that done first and foremost. Nothing else matters except that! And so that we are clear here if the phrase “in your spare time comes up” … the response is still NO. Get the shibarium done!” the tweet read.

The lead developer of Shiba Inu assured users that the layer2 project won’t be abandoned in any way.

Others advised the team to proceed after careful deliberations claiming organizations like the WEF “are definitely not friends of decentralization.” To which Kusama replied, “Well said fren”

As reported by TronWeekly, the principal developer Shytoshi Kusama recently shared a cryptic tweet with the quote “initial design approved” and ended the post with the following, “Let the debris show itself as the flow of kindness and truth washes over the world.”

Shiba Inu Metaverse To Be Exhibited Beside Meta

Community members were left speculating as to what the lead dev meant. Many of them felt that this was related to Shibarium. However, the SHIB developer chose to remain tight-lipped. Despite the vague tweet, the reaction of the community has been overall optimistic.

In another development, SHIB Metaverse would be displayed at the upcoming Immerse Global Summit in Miami, Florida, from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7, 2022, per the event’s official Twitter account.

At the summit, Marcie Jastrow who is an advisor to the SHIB’s metaverse will share information about the growth of SHIB: The Metaverse and the entire Shiba Inu ecosystem, alongside companies such as Meta, Microsoft, Web3Equity, and TerraZero.
