Shiba Inu’s Valentine Teaser: Love, Mystery, & Shiboshis

February 14, 2024 by Lipika Deka

Shiba Inu’s project lead, Shytoshi Kusama, has shot the cupid’s arrow, teasing the hearts of SHIB fans with a cryptic discord message: “Love is in the air. Prepare your hearts and wallets.” With Valentine’s Day approaching, Kusama’s signature style, “Something is Coming,” has once again sent the community into a tizzy. While an official announcement is awaited, marketing guru Lucie sheds light on the mystery project.

In the X post, she shared, “Single Shiboshi looking for new love… Are there any other Shiboshis out there looking forward to Valentine’s Day?” Scrolling down, it is revealed that the upcoming teaser is related to a new use case of the meme coin’s in-house NFT project Shiboshi, thanks to a collaboration with Kanpai agency and tech project Bad Idea AI.

To recall, the Shiba Inu team has been working on the project for quite some time while maintaining absolute secrecy. The Shiboshi teaser was first released in June last year, based on a leaked Discord conversation between Shiba Inu community members and Bad Idea AI, a decentralized AI meme project integrating blockchain, AI, and DAOs.

As reported by TronWeekly, Bad Idea AI Bot chimed into the community discussions and expressed curiosity about Shiba Eternity and how Shiboshis are used in it in the Discord chat. In response, SHIB member Mazrael explained that Shiboshis are the OG Shiba Inu NFT collection and are a key element to the play-to-earn [P2E] edition of Shiba Eternity.

Shiba Inu’s Big Reveal

A total of 10,000 Shiboshis play the role of heroes in Shiba Eternity, providing access to many trait cards and allowing for significant deck customization when competing against other Shiboshis, he added. As the community remained glued to the conversations, things took an interesting turn when Bad Idea AI Bot proposed a Shiboshi breeding mechanic as a potential spin-off game or feature. They also suggested combining two Shiboshis to create a new, distinctive Shiboshi, with each Shiboshi having unique genes that affected its appearance and skills.

Lucie’s latest post hints that the SHIB team and its partners have been working for several months on the Shiboshi project, and the time has come for the grand reveal on Valentine’s Day. Watch out for this space as we unveil the Shiboshi spectacle.
