SpaceX IPO

The SpaceX IPO is emerging as one of the most significant financial events in global markets, with reports indicating a potential valuation of $1.75 trillion. SpaceX reportedly plans to issue around 555.6 million shares worth $135 each, raising close to $75 billion in total via the listing procedure, according to the sources.

Market positioning implies a high investor confidence in SpaceX’s dominance in several key sectors, including commercial space travel, satellite-based Internet services, and reusable rockets.

If successful, the IPO could significantly reshape valuation expectations for private aerospace companies and establish new benchmarks for large-scale public market entries globally, driven by sustained demand growth trends observed.

SpaceX IPO Structure and $75 Billion Fundraising Plan

The proposed SpaceX IPO is structured as a fully primary offering, meaning all proceeds will go directly to the company rather than existing shareholders. With this setting, the early investors will not be able to cash out, which in turn supports a stable source of capital for the long ‍‌‍‍‌term.

According to a Reuters report, SpaceX has already signaled plans to raise a minimum of $75 billion in the base offering stage based on early investor meetings.

Moreover, the SpaceX IPO could potentially include the option of issuing additional shares worth 15% above the base amount, depending on investor appetite in the offering period. In this case, underwriters would be able to expand share sales accordingly.

SpaceX IPO Valuation and Global Investor Interest

As a result of this SpaceX IPO, there would be a lock-up period lasting for 366 days for Elon Musk’s shares. The lock-up period is designed as a tool for price stabilization in the initial months of market trading and minimizing risks associated with excessive selling pressure on the part of major stakeholders.

BREAKING: SpaceX plans to price its IPO at $135 per share, selling 555.6 million shares to raise $75 billion in the largest IPO ever, Reuters reports.

That values SpaceX at $1.75 trillion. The roadshow begins Thursday.

Although pure primary offerings are uncommon for big listings, they have precedents before in the form of Rivian’s IPO in 2021. Such offerings differ from mixed listings by excluding secondary share sales, concentrating capital raised directly into company expansion efforts and operational scaling priorities in modern markets.

A roadshow would start on Thursday, with terms still subject to changes according to negotiations with investors. If successful, this listing could become the most expensive one in history for global markets as far as capital is concerned.
