Top HR Giant Randstad To Speed Up Business With Blockchain

February 29, 2020 by Tabassum Naiz

Randstad, a global HR giant, is ready to test a combination of Cypherium blockchain with Google Cloud for speeding up its business processes and free up the team for more value-added work. The firm has grown swiftly and aims at providing the ease of human resource services with the help of the latest technologies such as AI.

Recently, Randstad case study news published on Google Cloud platform. As per the news, Randstad believes that innovations in the recruitment process provide a unique way of helping recruiters to establish a connection and deliver value to both job seekers and employers. Therefore, the firm wants to create an experience that is inherently more human.

The Randstad’s study emphasizes that blockchain can fill the gap and play a significant role in HR allocation. The study further found that distributed ledger technology can authenticate personal data of customers, including the confirmation of the date of birth, address, and driver’s license information. Moreover, blockchain can also enable instant payments through smart contracts and handles paperwork.

Frank van der Bijl, who is Global Collaboration Manager at Randstad, stated on Cypherium blockchain:

“Google Compute Engine and the Cypherium blockchain have proven the ideal combination for us. Both can be accessed with a few clicks; there’s no need to worry about building everything ourselves, installing other apps, or maintenance.”

Cypherium is a blockchain-based platform that has expertise in smart contracts dependent on a hybrid concept of proof-of-work and HotStuff, a new consensus protocol that has also been adopted by Libra Association.

According to CoinDesk news, the CEO of Cypherium Sky Guo told the news agency that clients did not have to strive for storing all the data using the network. He said:

“If a job candidate wants to prove that he has the grades and diploma, what they need to do is provide the hash of the diploma and the employer can verify that hash with the hash of the university.”

As Randstad will test a combination of Cypherium and Google Cloud, therefore, Google Cloud’s G Suite would further provide access to Randstad for monitoring and building its HR platform without the hassle to maintain its cloud system.

Bijl further added that a combination of Google Cloud’s services and Cypherium blockchain would provide the firm with a fast and easiest way to verify appropriate workforce talent.

“Google Cloud and G Suite already free us from some manual verification tasks, and we plan to use Cypherium’s blockchain to hand off even more,” Bijl said.
