With a recent tweet that alluded to a big announcement at this week’s Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, VeChain raised a lot of expectations. The company’s co-founder Sunny Lu unveiled VeBetter, a cutting-edge token-driven “circular ecosystem for sustainability,” on February 28. VeChain announced the launch of VeBetterDAO, its newest sustainability project, on its Medium blog and official X handle. Two tokens, B3TR and VOT3, were introduced by the VET team in conjunction with the introduction of VeBetterDAO.
The VeBetter ecosystem’s management will be entrusted to the VeBetterDAO, which will enable decentralized governance via $B3TR holders instead of being controlled by VeChain or its leadership team. VeBetterDAO has the responsibility of cultivating the X-2-Earn environment, which includes financing and aiding developers in creating X-2-Earn applications and other elements to guarantee VeBetter’s business triumph. VeBetter targets younger investors, specifically millennials and Generation Z, who commonly emphasize ethical consumption and sustainability concerns.
VeChain: VeBetterDAO 3-Phase Launch
Three stages comprise VeBetterDAO’s development. The first is the Testnet Take-off, or “Pilot Show Alpha,” which is presently underway. Pilot Show Beta, Mainnet Blitz, and Go-Live Gala are the next stages. Up to the Go-Live Gala, which coincides with the full mainnet launch set for June 30, the anniversary of the VeChainThor blockchain’s founding, each step unveils new features.
Certain platform features have been active during the ongoing Pilot Show Alpha phase. These include the distribution of a fixed quantity of B3TR tokens via airdrops, Testnet activities, awards, and social engagements.
The VeChain team is starting a series of airdrop campaigns to give away B3TR tokens to community members in celebration of VeBetterDAO’s Testnet launch. The goal of these campaigns is to get community members involved with the platform and to let them explore the features of the first few decentralized applications (dApps) in the coming months. The VeChain team emphasizes that a 1:1 transfer of all earned tokens to the mainnet will occur. In VeBetterDAO, VOT3 is the platform’s governance token, and B3TR is its incentive token.
VeChain’s ultimate goal of using digital innovation to bring together businesses, individuals, and institutions in the quest for a “more inclusive and equitable world” is driven by this emphasis on sustainability.
