AAVE Whale Activity Puts AAVE Price in Focus as Momentum Builds

Aave is drawing renewed attention as its governance process considers integrating Open Standard’s OUSD stablecoin across Aave V3 and V4 on Ethereum. At the same time, whale purchases and AAVE’s recovery above key moving averages are keeping the token in focus as traders monitor resistance near $175–$176.

Aave is attracting renewed market attention as the protocol advances a proposal to onboard Open Standard’s OUSD stablecoin while large-wallet activity points to continued AAVE accumulation. The proposal would bring OUSD to Aave V3 Core and Aave V4 Core on Ethereum, potentially expanding stablecoin lending activity across the protocol.

Meanwhile, AAVE has recovered from its recent lows and is trading around the mid-$160s. The combination of ecosystem expansion, whale activity, and improving market structure has increased attention around the token as the fourth quarter begins.

Aave Advances OUSD Integration Proposal

Aave Labs has proposed adding Open Standard’s OUSD to the Aave V3 Core Instance and Aave V4 Core Hub on Ethereum.

Under the proposal, OUSD would initially support supply and borrowing, while its use as collateral would remain disabled pending further governance decisions and risk assessments by the Aave community.

OUSD is a USD-backed stablecoin designed for banking, cross-border payments, institutional trading, fintech, and exchange applications. Its proposed integration would expand stablecoin options for Aave users.

The proposal remains under governance review, with community discussion, risk assessment, a potential Snapshot vote, and a subsequent on-chain AIP.

Whale Purchase Adds to AAVE Price Momentum

Large-wallet activity has provided another notable development for AAVE. According to Lookonchain, whale 0xe271 purchased 39,018 AAVE worth approximately $6.3 million from Kraken around four hours before the report.

The purchase adds to recent whale activity involving the token and highlights continued participation from large holders.

Lookonchain also reported that two addresses recently exchanged roughly $4.26 million worth of WBTC for 25,502 AAVE. These transactions do not establish future price direction, but they show active whale engagement.

Meanwhile, Aave maintains substantial lending activity across its ecosystem, providing a broader fundamental backdrop as new assets and stablecoin use cases emerge.

AAVE Price Reclaims Important Technical Levels

AAVE has recovered strongly from its September lows and is trading around the mid-$160s. The token recently moved above $175 before pulling back, leaving the $175–$176 region as a key nearby resistance zone.

The recovery has also placed AAVE above important moving averages, supporting the broader upward technical structure in recent market trading activity.

Based on technical data, it can be seen that AAVE is still trading above the 50-day and 200-day exponential moving averages. In addition, its relative strength index is not yet in the overbought range.

The downside of the situation is that the $150 range and the range between $142 and $153 are relevant for support levels.

Van de Poppe Highlights Potential Q4 Setup

Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe has pointed out that AAVE looks strong at the moment, with its current formation being compared to the formation that was seen around the end of the 2024 market cycle. AAVE is thought to be going through an initial phase of a bigger move.

According to van de Poppe, the AAVE was in some kind of building momentum prior to making progress towards the $400 level.

The analyst added that it will come as no surprise if something similar happens again during Q4. But it is only speculation and not yet a result of any form of price action.

OUSD Governance and Key Levels Remain in Focus

Now, the OUSD initiative becomes one of the key trends to follow with respect to Aave. Future moves within the governance framework may reveal whether the stablecoin will be deployed throughout the protocol on Ethereum mainnet.

At the same time, traders pay attention to the actions of whales and the behavior of AAVE with respect to the September peak. AAVE comes into the final quarter on strong ecosystem action and a better market structure.

The pending integration of OUSD could expand the stablecoin lending ecosystem for Aave, along with some whales accumulating recently, adding more interest to the market. Resistance is at the high in September, while support is at the level of the moving average.
