Andrew Tate’s 21 Bitcoins Falls Into Romanian Prosecutors Hands

A notice to seize Bitcoin (BTC) worth $565,000 has been submitted by Romanian prosecutors against controversial online personality Andrew Tate. In addition to the 21 BTC, the prosecution have also requested the seizure of 15 homes, 15 expensive cars, and 14 watches.

Authorities claim that Tate, Tristan, their brother, and two Romanian women have all been charged with rape and people trafficking. According to the authorities, a six-month investigation led to the indictment.

Seven alleged victims who were lured in with false promises were highlighted in the document. The so-called victims were sent to facilities in the county of Ilfov in Romania, where they were frightened and under constant observation and supervision. The accused allegedly forced the women to take part in pornography, which was then uploaded to social media. One suspect is alleged to have raped a woman twice in March 2022, according to the statement. Andrew Tate is well known for supporting Bitcoin (BTC) and has frequently extolled the virtues of the first cryptocurrency.

Fate Of The Seized Bitcoin Remains Unknown

The trial won’t start straight away and is expected to go on for a number of years. A Romanian court must currently analyse the case files for 60 days before the case may be tried.

The PR staff for the Tate brothers said,

“While this news is undoubtedly predictable, we embrace the opportunity it presents to demonstrate their innocence and vindicate their reputation.”

The authorities will probably hold onto the confiscated property, including the Bitcoin (BTC), until the trial is over. There are also more counts that are still being investigated and could lead to a different indictment. Money was laundered as well as juveniles were being trafficked. In December 2022, the Tate brothers were first taken into custody at their home in Bucharest. In March, they were put under house arrest as a result of a Romanian judge’s ruling.
