AVAX is testing key support after a recent triangle breakout, with technical indicators showing signs of improving momentum. Rising open interest alongside institutional developments involving Janus Henderson adds further attention to the recovery setup as traders watch key support and resistance levels.

Avalanche (AVAX) has broken above a key falling-wedge pattern, while Aave’s RWA lending expansion could strengthen institutional activity on Avalanche. COTI’s privacy infrastructure adds confidential onchain functionality, supporting broader adoption and utility across the network as ecosystem development continues to accelerate.

AVAX Price Breaks Above Falling-Wedge Pattern

Avalanche (AVAX) is attracting renewed market attention after breaking above a falling-wedge formation on its weekly chart. Crypto analyst Lana Valentis highlighted the setup, noting that similar patterns have previously preceded two significant AVAX rallies. Her current analysis identifies $10, $16, $31, and $60 as potential upside targets if momentum continues.

The technical breakout arrives alongside several developments expanding Avalanche’s broader ecosystem. Aave is preparing a specialized real-world asset lending market on the network, while COTI has launched privacy infrastructure supporting applications and users.

Together, these developments introduce fresh institutional finance and privacy use cases as AVAX attempts to establish a stronger market structure.

Derivatives Activity Strengthens Across Avalanche

As per data from CoinGlass, derivatives trading for AVAX has gained momentum amid the recent price action. While trading volume grew 2.47% to $384.29 million, open interest jumped 13.54% to $328.78 million.

The concurrent growth suggests more active involvement, as capital has been pouring into existing futures contracts amid changes in the technicals of AVAX.

Increased open interest doesn’t necessarily imply bullish bets, as both long and short positions determine it. But if increased open interest is observed alongside increasing trading volume, then one can say that the market involvement has increased.

And therefore, the reaction to the prices may be more substantial as the players take their positions on breakout and resistance defined by Valentis.

Aave Expands RWA Lending to Avalanche

Aave has also taken its collaboration with Avalanche further by introducing an institution-finance-themed platform that allows lending real-world assets via a dedicated hub.

The project could facilitate liquidity for institutions by enabling them to borrow stablecoins by using tokenized financial assets as collateral, without selling out on the underlying asset itself.

The USAT of Tether will play the role of one of the primary providers of dollar liquidity in the new ecosystem and hence make this project possess a stablecoin feature.

In the meantime, Aave V4 has managed to receive over $20 million in deposits on Avalanche in about two months since its launch, as stated by the given data.

The intended RWA Hub would allow a wider array of asset types for use in credit markets built on Avalanche.

This is because institutions eligible to do business on the platform could have tokenized traditional assets financed using stablecoin liquidity, rather than the existing crypto assets as collateral. The addition would further solidify the existing narrative of Avalanche in relation to real-world assets.

COTI Brings Privacy Infrastructure to Avalanche

In addition to this, Avalanche is featuring the Privacy-on-Demand and Privacy Portal solutions from COTI, which have been launched on the network.

This enables the handling of any sensitive data privately while keeping the tokens and smart contracts on Avalanche. Furthermore, users will be able to hold, transfer, and receive supported tokens privately on C-Chain.

COTI’s privacy framework has been built in such a way that it can help businesses manage sensitive information on the blockchain.

This would ensure that the application has the privacy feature while still enjoying access to the existing infrastructure of Avalanche. This feature will be very useful in various domains like finance and payments.

What Comes Next for AVAX?

As the breakdown of the falling wedge takes place against the backdrop of growing derivatives usage and development of the ecosystem infrastructure, there are a number of things for AVAX traders to keep an eye on. Targets set by Valentis will be reached if the technical setup plays out as anticipated.

What comes next will hinge on AVAX’s ability to continue the breakout momentum and bring further buying interest.

Volume, open interest, and activity within the ecosystem will be key things to watch out for, while the Aave RWA program and COTI privacy protocol help bolster the utility story of Avalanche. A technical move may make or break the breakout move.
