Bitcoin finds a place in America’s prominent convenience store chain

Cryptocurrencies particularly Bitcoin [BTC] have finally managed to garner a prominent position in the financial sphere. The adoption of crypto is well ahead of the nascent stage and more and more prominent platforms continue to exert support for the asset. A popular Mid-Atlantic convenience and restaurant chain is the latest to accept the king coin for payments.

The world’s first and largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin’s price change proved to astonishing. BTC’s price rose to a high of $64K, however, the king coin failed to retain itself in this zone. Following Elon Musk’s BTC dropped below $40K. Despite this slump, BTC’s fan base prevailed. Sheetz, a prominent convenience store chain in America will reportedly begin accepting Bitcoin along with several other cryptocurrencies for payments.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin to be accepted at Sheetz

As per a recent press release, Sheetz revealed that it was collaborating with Flexa, a digital payments portal in order to facilitate payments in crypto. The firm seemed to be jumping onto the crypto bandwagon as it would be supporting Ethereum [ETH], Litecoin [LTC] as well as Dogecoin [DOGE] along with BTC.

The co-founder of Flexa, Trevor Filter spoke about the firm’s latest integration and revealed that it has made Sheetz “the first convenience and retail chain to accept digital currencies directly at the pump.” Filter further added,

“With interest in digital currencies reaching all-time highs, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that there are real, tangible benefits for the merchants who accept them—not only reduced fraud and cost savings, but also a better and more mobile customer experience,”

Furthermore, the release pointed out that Sheetz had a total of 622 stores across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland. This latest move could undoubtedly spruce up the presence of crypto in the country.

Linda Smith, Payments Manager for Sheetz, revealed that the firm aimed to address the needs of its customer which included various payment methods. Smith said,

“We’re very excited to be working with Flexa to roll out support for cryptocurrencies and other types of digital assets at our stores.”
