Cardano is targeting higher levels after a key weekly breakout improves the ADA price outlook. Traders are watching whether momentum can sustain a move toward $1 and $1.30, while the upcoming Leios upgrade could enhance network scalability, throughput, and long-term adoption.

Cardano (ADA) is showing bullish potential after a key weekly breakout, with sustained strength potentially driving further gains for the ADA price. Meanwhile, the upcoming Leios upgrade could significantly improve scalability and throughput, strengthening Cardano’s long-term adoption prospects and supporting a more positive outlook for ADA.

At the time of writing, ADA is trading at $0.2016 with a 24-hour trading volume of $422.46 million and a market capitalization of $7.4 billion. Despite the 5.88% loss over the last 24 hours, the ADA price structure and network growth point to a bullish reversal ahead.

ADA Price Eyes $1 After Key Weekly Breakout

According to the crypto analyst Sssebi, the ADA price is approaching a crucial technical resistance level that could shape its next major move.

A weekly candle closing firmly above this barrier would strengthen the bullish setup and potentially confirm a breakout. Such a move could improve market sentiment, attract fresh buying interest, and provide ADA with momentum toward higher resistance levels in the coming sessions.

Provided that the breakouts see through, the ADA price may be headed towards the critical psychological price level of $1 before possibly continuing to $1.30.

It should be noted that these price levels are technical estimates and not promises. The traders would probably want to wait until the prices are consistently able to close above the resistance area before any rally in Cardano can be seen.

Cardano Leios Upgrade Puts ADA Scalability in Focus

The data from Cardanians further highlighted that the Cardano network will be undergoing some significant upgrades soon, with Ouroboros Leios slated to launch on the mainnet by the end of 2026.

It is a consensus algorithm that aims to greatly increase transaction speed without compromising Cardano’s emphasis on security and decentralization. This might well represent a crucial step in scaling the blockchain.

Increased throughput would be beneficial to Cardano in managing the additional demands created by decentralized finance, payments, gaming, tokenization, and other applications.

As for ADA, it could become an important part of its success story regarding its long-term growth potential, as increased transaction volume and adoption could become a reality. However, the results will depend on several other factors.

What Happens Next?

The ADA traders will be on the lookout to see whether the ADA price can maintain its breakout on a weekly chart, turning the resistance level into a support level.

With more buying force, there is a possibility of reaching $1 and even $1.30. However, the process towards achieving the Leios upgrade will also be significant.
