CryptoLocally to incubate Gemslab as focus shifts towards cryptocurrency utilization

March 16, 2021 by Akash Anand

The last couple of weeks have been stellar for the cryptocurrency market with prices shooting through green pastures constantly. Some organizations like CryptoLocally have tapped this opportunity to grow their repository while benefiting their customers at the same time.

Popular peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange CryptoLocally recently announced that it will be incubating African game studio GemsLabs as part of its vision for the cryptocurrency industry’s future. A specialist in building blockchain games, GemsLab is out to prove that the world of gaming was the best way to attract people towards crypto.Peer

CryptoLocally opined that the cryptocurrency landscape was changing rapidly with the user deciding what features finally make the cut. Gemslab added that to initiate an overhaul change, companies need to do something drastic and never seen before. For their latest collaboration, CryptoLocally will support Gemslab with the developments and marketing of its games.

Sources close to CryptoLocally told TWJ that both the aforementioned companies were already working on Gemslab’s next game. The unnamed 3D defense strategy game will be built on the WAX chain with the option to even purchase in-games heroes as NFT. A press release from CryptoLocally stated:

“Both CryptoLocally and GemsLab are looking forward to a long, lasting, and mutually beneficial partnership. It is not hard to imagine GEM being listed into the CryptoLocally P2P platform and become the first P2P exchange to support the game token. On the other hand, we could see GIV tokens being integrated into one of the games of GemsLab further increasing the use cases of GIV tokens.”

GemsLab have confirmed that they will be using the TELOS blockchain to help in mass adoption over the coming months. TELOS is an EOS-based blockchain and focuses on handling transactions for a very low transaction charge. This is what allows fast in-game transactions that enrich the user’s experience in the ecosystem. Furthermore, members can also earn GEM tokens by slashing enemies and collecting the GEM tokens they release during gameplay. The vast array of options presented should be enough to make users, old and new alike, that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are here to stay.
