DOGE Agency Launch: Musk’s Bold Move to Streamline Government Operations

By Usman Zafar | Edited By Ammar Raza,January 21, 2025, 11:42 PM

Dogecoin
  • The DOGE agency, led by Elon Musk, faces potential legal challenges over transparency issues.
  • Vivek Ramaswamy steps down from his role in DOGE, potentially running for Ohio Governor.
  • DOGE’s mission includes reducing government bureaucracy and spending, with a planned conclusion in 2026.

The long-awaited launch of the DOGE agency, led by Elon Musk, has arrived with a significant nod to cryptocurrency. The official website of the agency, named after the popular meme coin Dogecoin, uses the coin’s Shiba Inu avatar as its face.

This move has not only grabbed attention from tech enthusiasts but also caught the eye of retail investors, many of whom are now betting on the agency as a potential price catalyst for Dogecoin.

With the same acronym and logo, the agency and cryptocurrency have become deeply intertwined, sparking discussions across social media and financial forums. While retail investors see the agency as a potential catalyst for Dogecoin’s price, the agency now face an imminent lawsuit.

Kel McClanahan Demands Public Access to DOGE’s Meetings

The National Security Counselors alleges that the agency has broken federal transparency laws, specifically the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). They further claim that DOGE’s activities take place without the necessary public oversight and there are no records or open meetings required by law.

Kel McClanahan, the law firm’s executive director, contends that the agency’s meetings, as well as the ones conducted electronically, should be open to the public, since it is a requirement for agencies of this type.

They want to guarantee that the agency keeps the promise of transparency, as FACA outlines requiring all meetings to be accessible. If the lawsuit goes against it, the company’s capacity to work effectively and Musk’s vision of government efficiency could be very much affected.

Ramaswamy Departs DOGE for Ohio Governor Race

Meanwhile, Vivek Ramaswamy, a key figure in creating DOGE, has announced that he will no longer be the co-leader of the agency alongside Musk. Instead, he is the one who is focusing on a political career with the plan to run for Ohio governor. Ramaswamy in his statement, expresses the support for the agency saying that, he is one among the many who have faith in it to only work for government.

It was my honor to help support the creation of DOGE. I’m confident that Elon & team will succeed in streamlining government. I’ll have more to say very soon about my future plans in Ohio. Most importantly, we’re all-in to help President Trump make America great again! 🇺🇸 https://t.co/f1YFZm8X13

But this decision was made or the move to step down because of the changes in his stand on political dynamics. The allegations made by Marinsky suggest that Musk forced Ramaswamy to quit because of his controversial speech about the American culture and the depreciation of one of the most important sectors in the world, the tech industry.
