Polkadot faces short-term selling pressure after breaking below triangle support, with bulls needing to reclaim the $0.865–$0.870 resistance zone to revive the recovery setup. Meanwhile, a sharp rise in network throughput and renewed developer activity highlight growing ecosystem engagement that could support DOT’s longer-term outlook.

Polkadot (DOT) faces short-term bearish pressure after a technical breakdown, putting the recovery setup for the DOT price under strain. Meanwhile, renewed developer activity highlights growing ecosystem engagement. The combination of cautious market momentum and expanding network development could shape DOT’s next major move.

At the time of writing, DOT is trading at $0.8599 with a 24-hour trading volume of $110.62 million and a market capitalization of $1.46 billion. Despite the signs of stability, the DOT price structure and network growth point to a bullish reversal ahead.

DOT Price Targets $0.910 as Bulls Seek Recovery

According to the crypto analyst Crypto With Gopal, the DOT price is facing renewed selling pressure on the 15-minute chart after rejecting the upper boundary of a developing triangle pattern.

The subsequent breakdown below lower support has shifted short-term momentum in favor of bears. A sustained move beneath the $0.855–$0.850 zone could confirm further downside and invalidate the earlier bullish target near $0.910.

However, the bearish pattern might be invalidated if there is a rapid bounce higher from the $0.865-$0.870 area.

This kind of price action will indicate that the breakdown was an illusion and can push the DOT price back towards the earlier range of consolidation. If this resistance level is broken, then buyers can be expected to return to the market.

Polkadot Devnet Sparks Renewed Network Activity

The data from BSCN further highlighted that Polkadot experienced a sudden rise in the activity level on September 2 as its throughput rose by around 150%, reaching 0.06 transactions per second, as reported by Chainspect.

In just one hour, the network managed to process 4,960 transactions, which makes the spike one of Polkadot’s biggest rises in activity for the year to date.

The surge is tied to Polkadot Products Devnet, which is a public testnet released in July through the Paseo testnet.

It is administered by the Polkadot Community Foundation and allows developers to run .dot apps while testing identity, payments, storage, markets, documentation, reviews, NFTs, and more, with more than 200 apps indexed in the network.

What Happens Next?

In addition, the DOT price’s subsequent movement is hinged on whether bulls will manage to retake the $0.865-$0.870 level of resistance.

A breakout can see bulls take advantage of the momentum to move to $0.91, while a fall below $0.850 may increase selling pressure. However, growing participation by developers can favor Polkadot’s recovery efforts.
