Gemini has partnered with Ripple to release a special XRP edition of its credit card for U.S. customers. The new product lets users earn XRP on everyday spending.

The card offers 4% back on gas, EV charging, and rideshare, 3% on dining, 2% on groceries, and 1% on all other purchases. Gemini has also linked up with select merchants to give customers as much as 10% back on qualifying transactions through its app.

The card has no annual fee and no charges on foreign transactions or crypto rewards. Customers can switch their rewards between XRP and over 50 other cryptocurrencies supported on Gemini.

Gemini Expands Access to Ripple USD Stablecoin

Gemini also announced wider access to Ripple USD, a stablecoin backed by the U.S. dollar. RLUSD has grown quickly since launch, crossing $640 million in market capitalization and ranking among the top six stablecoins in circulation.

Originally listed on Gemini in May, it is now available as a base currency for all spot trading pairs on the exchange for U.S. users. This step makes trading smoother by removing conversion layers and lowering fees.

Ripple sees RLUSD as part of its long-term plan to expand utility across its ecosystem and to strengthen ties between XRP rewards and stable digital assets.

New XRP Card Expands Everyday Crypto Payments

The decision to create an XRP edition of the card follows strong results for existing cardholders. Gemini’s data shows that users who held the token rewards for a year saw their value grow by 453% by July 27, 2025.

In dollar terms, $73,700 in rewards increased to more than $407,000, the best return among all crypto reward options on the platform.

The token, which runs on the XRP Ledger, has long been known for low-cost and fast transactions. It remains one of the biggest cryptocurrencies by market size and trading activity.

Global firms such as Societe Generale–Forge, abrdn, and Braza Bank have already adopted the XRPL for settlement and payments. With Gemini and Ripple working together, the new credit card aims to make XRP easier to earn and use in everyday life.
