Tron has been moving vigorously with several updates and improvements to the Tron network to introduce Web 4.0. Twenty nineteen was a big year for the organization with several releases aimed at improving the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
In a recent video uploaded by Justin Sun, the CEO addressed the various changes during Q3 2019, as well as his plans for the next few quarters. Tron also brought his mascot, Tron Leo to the fore in the short video that represented the progress made by the company.
BTFS Testnet
Tron Q3 2019 events started on July 1, with the launch of the BTFS Testnet, one of Tron’s main projects. One of the features within the testnet was the BTFS AutoUpdate. It ensures that Tron nodes are supported with all the latest features, fixes and updates.

BitTorrent launched BitTorrent Speed
On July 9th Tron added another feather to its cap when its subsidiary BitTorrent launched BitTorrent Speed. BT Speed was developed so that users could enjoy faster uploading and downloading of files. The release was also integrated into new downloads on uTorrent Classic Windows client. Sun had also given his two cents on the launch by saying:
“TRON has completed early integration work of its two decentralized networks – TRON and BitTorrent – with the launch of BitTorrent Speed. We expect to gain amazing feedback from early users, and look forward to adding features that will make the BitTorrent protocol better for millions of users.”
Sun Network
With the introduction of the much talked about Sun Network, the Quarter became even more fruitful. Tron officials believed that the Sun Network would scale-out the current blockchain and provide a massive investment return. The network has provided features such as an application-oriented smart contract side chain and cross-chain communication.
The Sun Network was also responsible for improving Tron’s position on the price charts which also brought benefits to other peripherals. The Tron ecosystem cheered on August 15 after TRC20-USDT’s total circulation volume, Tron’s stablecoin reached $110million. At the same time the Tron DApps DAU reached 186,300 while the volume of trading increased to $3.25 billion.
BLive
Tron has been testing the launch of BLive, the new streaming application from BitTorrent. Users can create live video content with BLive, link to people from multiple fields and earn money via the app. BLive became the first technology in the blockchain area to carry live streaming. All streaming adheres to BitTorrent protocols which guarantee security and privacy.
With the latest video release, Tron probably wanted to placate the Tronics and promise more releases in the future. The entire community has sided with the cryptocurrency for a long time and is waiting with bated breath for more significant launches.
