ONDO Price Eyes Breakout as Technical Setup Meets Tokenization Expansion

ONDO price is approaching a potential breakout after recovering from a move below its multi-month bull flag. The technical setup comes as Ondo Finance expands its tokenization infrastructure, including a new connection between Oasis Pro Markets and DTCC’s Fund/SERV network.

ONDO price is approaching a potentially significant technical phase after consolidating within a bull-flag structure for several months. The token has recently moved below the lower trendline before recovering, while growing activity around Ondo Finance’s tokenization infrastructure adds a fundamental backdrop to the market outlook.

Ondo Finance is also expanding its reach into traditional financial markets. Its subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets, has joined DTCC’s Fund/SERV network, connecting Ondo’s tokenized funds with infrastructure that processes more than 85% of U.S. mutual fund transaction activity.

The combination of a prolonged technical consolidation and continued expansion in tokenized real-world assets could keep ONDO price in focus as traders watch for a potential breakout.

ONDO Price Tests Bull Flag After Rebound

Crypto analyst Crypto Scient described ONDO as one of the more overlooked charts and highlighted a bull flag that has developed over roughly three and a half months.

According to the analyst, ONDO recently deviated below the lower trend of the formation before recovering, a move that could potentially precede a breakout if buyers regain control. Crypto Scient highlighted $1 in Q4 as a potential target rather than a confirmed price forecast.

The setup is notable because ONDO closed at about $0.372 on September 17, according to CoinGecko historical data. That means a move toward $1 would require a substantial increase from the latest completed daily close.

For the technical structure to gain credibility, traders will likely watch whether ONDO can reclaim the upper boundary of its consolidation and sustain the move with stronger trading activity. A failure to break higher could instead keep the token inside its existing range.

Ondo Connects Tokenized Funds to DTCC Infrastructure

The technical outlook is developing alongside a major expansion of Ondo Finance’s tokenization infrastructure.

On September 16, Ondo Finance announced that Oasis Pro Markets had joined DTCC’s Fund/SERV platform as its first tokenization company member. Fund/SERV is used for processing and settling mutual fund and other pooled investment product transactions between fund companies and distributors.

DTCC said Fund/SERV currently serves more than 85% of U.S. mutual fund transaction activity. Through the new connection, Oasis Pro Markets can transact with fund companies, wealth platforms and service providers through a standardized network rather than developing separate integrations for each participant.

The infrastructure also facilitates functions like account-level information, confirmation of transactions, reconciliation, fund allocations, tax compliance, and regulatory compliance.

This would be particularly relevant to Ondo, since it links its tokenized funds with the existing financial market infrastructure. Although this does not influence ONDO’s market price directly, it serves as another fundamental layer of the token’s long-term narrative of asset tokenization.

Tokenization Expansion Adds Fundamental Context

The broader ecosystem of Ondo has kept growing outside the tokenization of Treasury products. As indicated on Ondo’s website, the platform currently lists more than 450 assets, about 221,200 unique holders, and about $1.05 billion in total value locked.

The firm also developed its tokenized equity system. Ondo launched 24-hour minting and redemption of select tokenized US equities and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana in June.

In July, Oasis Pro Markets acquired further approvals from US regulators, which Ondo claimed would enable it to list tokenized equities and funds regulated by the SEC and FINRA. The framework also incorporates access to NMS stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and index funds, along with primary market and secondary market transactions.

This development makes the ONDO price story have two distinct parts: the technical setup being monitored by traders and further development of the infrastructure for ONDO’s tokenization operations.

What Happens Next for the ONDO Price?

The short-term emphasis is on whether ONDO will be able to escape from the multi-month consolidation identified by Crypto Scient. Escaping from the formation will boost the argument for the technical breakout, while failing to do so will prolong the consolidation period.

However, it must be pointed out that the Q4 price target of $1 mentioned by the analyst is quite far from the current price of $0.372.

On the other hand, the integration of Ondo with DTCC Fund/SERV provides a new link to conventional distribution channels within the fund. The growth of the ecosystem, if the uptake of tokenized funds keeps growing, may prove to be an important fundamental aspect of ONDO’s price trend.
