Toku brings USDC payments, payroll, token distributions, and corporate remittances to Sei. Meanwhile, SEI trades at $0.06600 as traders watch the $0.06222 support level and declining derivatives activity.

Sei payments are expanding as Toku brings USDC payment services to the network, while traders watch whether SEI can hold above a key support level following its latest rally.

In an X post on October 9, Sei Network drew attention to the integration, noting that Toku allows payments, payroll, token distributions, and corporate remittances to be made with USDC on Sei.

As of press time, the coin was priced at $0.06600, a 0.17% decline over the previous 24 hours, based on the TradingView chart provided.

How Do Sei Payments Expand USDC Adoption?

Through Toku’s integration, businesses gain more options for using stablecoins outside of cryptocurrency trading. Businesses can leverage USDC for payroll, token distributions, and corporate remittances, broadening the possible role Sei’s blockchain infrastructure plays in routine financial operations.

This development is significant because payment-related activity may give businesses extra reasons to engage with the network. Even so, the announcement leaves unclear how many companies actually use the service or how much transaction volume it produces.

Sei Network called attention to the integration via its official X account, stating that “Toku is live on Sei.” The announcement points to an expanded payment use case, yet lasting adoption will hinge on whether businesses actively use these services.

What Does DeFiLlama Show About Payments?

Based on the DeFiLlama dashboard provided, it’s decentralized finance total value locked (TVL) sits at roughly $32.9 million, while stablecoin market capitalization is about $306.7 million. The dashboard further indicates 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of roughly $11.86 million.

These figures offer a baseline for gauging activity throughout it’s financial ecosystem. Growth in stablecoin supply, trading activity, and TVL could help show whether payment integrations are accompanied by broader growth across the network.

Yet on their own, these numbers do not capture the extent of Toku’s payment activity. To establish how much the integration contributes directly, separate data on payment transactions and business adoption would be needed.

Can Sei Stay Above $0.06222?

According to the daily TradingView chart, the coin is changing hands at $0.06600, which sits above the horizontal line marked at $0.06222. Having pulled back from a recent high close to $0.08, the token appears to have lost some of the momentum behind its September rally.

On the chart, the moving averages sit around $0.05386 and $0.05548, with both positioned under the present price. Should selling pressure drive SEI beneath its nearest support, these levels may come into play.

If SEI manages to remain above $0.06222, another attempt at a recovery could be supported. At the same time, a drop below this level could bring the lower moving-average region into focus.

What Do CoinGlass Metrics Reveal About Payments?

According to the CoinGlass charts provided, open interest climbed toward $120 million in early October, then fell to roughly $85 million by October 9. Trading volume likewise tapered off after surpassing $700 million during a late-September surge.

This pullback indicates that derivatives activity has cooled in tandem with SEI’s price decline. While that does not prove whether traders lean mostly bullish or bearish, a pickup in volume alongside rising open interest might help confirm whether a fresh directional move is taking shape.

Will Payments Influence Next Move?

By integrating Toku, the coin gains yet another practical use case, though how much it matters over the long run will hinge on real business adoption and quantifiable network activity.

From the perspective of traders, $0.06222 continues to be a key near-term support level. Staying above it would keep the prospect of a recovery alive, whereas losing that level would weaken the present technical picture.

Because cryptocurrency markets are subject to extreme volatility, traders ought to watch price action, market sentiment, and upcoming catalysts prior to making any investment choices.
