The Shiba Inu community is abuzz with excitement as KuCoin, one of the leading crypto exchanges, drops a hint about potentially listing tokens from the Shiba Inu ecosystem. This announcement aligns perfectly with the upcoming launch of Shibarium, the Layer-2 solution designed for the Shiba Inu network.
On their platform, KuCoin’s X account recently shared a mysterious image featuring a Shiba Inu dog alongside two sets of dates: Aug. 12 and Aug. 15-16, represented by a dog bone. This bone alludes to the BONE token, a crucial component within the SHIB ecosystem and soon-to-be-released Shibarium protocol.
It can be inferred that KuCoin is planning to include the BONE token in its listings coinciding with Shibarium’s launch—an event highly anticipated by members of the SHIB community. As a decentralized platform, Shibarium aims to offer rapid, cost-effective, and secure transactions for the Shiba Inu network while also facilitating smart contracts, NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and other exciting features.
Shiba Inu Community Hopes For More Tokens On KuCoin
The image, however, has left two dates vacant: Aug. 13 and 14. This occurrence has given rise to speculations that KuCoin might consider listing additional tokens from the Shiba Inu ecosystem apart from BONE. Among the potential candidates are LEASH, an ecosystem token serving as both a governance and reward token for staking BONE, and FUND, a token issued by Unification in collaboration with Shibarium to facilitate cross-chain interoperability and scalability.
A well-known member of the SHIB community, who is also a validator operator at Unification and a significant contributor to Shibarium, expressed optimism for KuCoin to include FUND. Additionally, the official X account of Shiba Inu joined in on the conversation by inquiring about the possibility of listing LEASH.
The SHIB community eagerly awaits further updates from KuCoin as these new listings have the potential to amplify their exposure, liquidity, and adoption. The introduction of Shibarium could also bring forth increased innovation and value within the Shiba Inu network—a meme coin that has already established itself as highly popular within the crypto space.
With a staggering 3.7 million followers on Twitter and an impressive 600,000 members on Reddit, the SHIB community stands as one of the largest and most active in the cryptocurrency space. The upcoming listings on KuCoin have the potential to amplify their engagement and loyalty further and draw in new investors and users to join the Shiba Inu network.
