Shiba Inu’s L2 Gains Adoption In London DEX

Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s scaling protocol has secured another adoption upon its launch. This time it is the London-based crypto exchange Swapika.

The announcement comes after the trading platform recently enabled swapping support to SHIB, Bone ShibaSwap [BONE], and Doge Killer [Leash] with more than 700 different coins.

In addition to Swapika, ChangeNow, a New York-based crypto exchange, and NOWPayments, a renowned digital asset payment gateway based in the Netherlands, have also announced their plans to offer support for Shibarium once it launches.

Not long ago, Shiba Inu developers unveiled public documentation for the Shibarium beta where it double down on the need to provide a cost-effective blockchain solution for the Shib ecosystem by reducing transaction fees.

The only silver lining for the SHIB community despite the meme token’s price being trapped in a bearish trend is the upcoming mainnet launch, whose anticipation is constantly rising as a result of the team’s regular updates.

According to one such report, the Shibarium team claimed “good news” is on the horizon sparking renewed interest and curiosity among SHIB fans as to what that news would be.

The hint was dropped by one of the Telegram admins of the Shibarium Tech channel in response to a user’s query on the arrival of good news.

That being said, a precise launch date for the Shibarium mainnet has yet to be announced by the Shiba Inu team.

However, in an interview, the SHIB lead, Shytoshi Kusama, stated that the Beta Phase could take up to 2 to 4 months to complete before the mainnet goes live.

Meanwhile, a cross-chain bridge function named “Shibarium Bridge” is currently undergoing refinements from the Shibarium team, according to Shiba Inu influencer Lucie Sasnikova.

Shiba Inu Influencer Shared a New Update

The new functionality, which is at the moment in testing mode, is intended to improve the layer 2 solution.

Based on the report shared by Sasnikova, the “Shibarium Bridge” will be compatible with the Ethereum blockchain and can actualize the ETH and SHIB cross-chain SWAP functions.

Even though Shibarium’s mainnet debut has not yet happened, the news has sparked a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm.

One of the most active among its contemporaries, the Shiba Inu ecosystem has consistently worked to secure mainstream adoption. It remains to be seen how much of that is achieved.
