World Liberty Financial

Trump-backed World Liberty Financial announced a $250,000 USD contribution to the UFC Freedom 250 bonus fund as a stablecoin, expanding crypto involvement in combat sports sponsorships. The funding adds crypto investment in combat sports to expand the usage of stablecoins in different sectors.

UFC Freedom 250 is scheduled to take place on the South Lawn of the White House, creating a rare intersection of sports and a political setting. The event is dedicated to Donald Trump’s 80th birthday celebration,  adding symbolic visibility. Consequently, the event is going to become one of the largest and best mixed martial arts events in the world.

World Liberty Financial will place USD1 branding inside the Octagon, ensuring visibility throughout the event broadcast and arena exposure, as per a recent post by MSB Intel. Such a move is a part of a larger trend aimed at cooperation between crypto companies and major sports leagues.

World Liberty Financial Strengthens UFC Branding and Stablecoin Adoption

World Liberty Financial CEO Dana White said about the expanded branding and bonuses in an interview during a press conference at the Lincoln Memorial. Fighters are going to receive more bonuses, which include $400,000 for the Fight of the Night winners, as well as $425,000 Performance bonuses. The increased payment is due to the contribution of cryptocurrency-related sponsorships.

Crypto.com will contribute an additional $1 million CRO bonus for Fight of the Night winners, bringing total UFC Freedom 250 post-fight rewards to approximately $1.65 million. As a result, the total post-fight bonuses provided by different sponsors will amount to around $1.65 million.

Stablecoin Adoption Grows in Sports Sponsorship Deals

These details were mentioned during the press conference of UFC CEO Dana White at the Lincoln Memorial. This information confirms the increased use of digital asset companies for sponsorship of sports events. Such partnerships will make combat sports more popular worldwide.

World Liberty Financial is currently trading at $0.06030 with $62.66 million in trading volume. WLFI has a market capitalization of $1.92 billion and gained a price increase by 3.40% during the last 24 hours.
