World’s First Voice NFT manages to sell out in 10 minutes

February 3, 2022 by Vignesh Karunanidhi

World’s first voice NFTs offered by Voiceverse released 8,888 NFTs on January 29th. They sold out the NFTs in less than 10 minutes of public sale.

Voiceverse is a voice metaverse developed around an initial drop of 8,888 first of its kind voice NFTs on the Ethereum network. The objective is to allow everyone a voice in the metaverse, extending across numerous dimensions, starting from games, movies to music and video calls.

Three BAYC members, #9757, #2396 and #7745, found voiceverse. They are powered by LOVO, its parent firm located out of San Francisco and Seoul, with a good track record in the AI Speech Synthesis field. They are also backed by Kakao (IT corporation and media company, Korea) and LG (Life’s Good).

After a week of pre-sale, Voiceverse Origins sold out in 10 minutes and has been topping in all genres on OpenSea. It has also been constantly in the top 10 for sales volume (by count). Given its foundation in AI and voice synthesis, Voiceverse intends to shake up the market and initiate a trend towards 2nd gen NFTs.

Voice NFTs and their future

WIth Voice NFTs, consumers may now modify their Profile Picture (PFP) NFTs with a voice, offering another degree of customization and anonymization.

Users may utilize the voices in metaverse areas, from games to video calls and more. They can build a voice NFT of their voice or that of their loved ones with specific permission. They may also blend different voice NFTs to “breed” a new voice NFT and even add voices to their current PFP NFTs, giving them a whole new life.

The company is also planning to add integrations with BAYC, MAYC, Cryptopunks, Doodles and Coolcats at the initial stage.

Growing NFT bubble

As per the Block Data Dashboard, monthly non-fungible token (NFT) trade volume in January has already reached a record high of $6.13 billion.

With millions jumping on the bandwagon of NFTs, celebrities including Kevin Hart, Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg have shown their support with their recent purchases. At the same time, some personalities like Kanye West are not ready to ride the wave.
