XRP Price May Retest the 333-Week EMA—Here’s Why

XRP price is consolidating after a sharp weekly rally as analysts watch the $1.65 resistance level for breakout confirmation. Support around $1.42 and $1.30 could determine whether XRP resumes its upward move or enters a deeper correction, while cooling RSI suggests momentum has eased without fully reversing the bullish structure.

XRP price attracted market attention on Monday, August 24, 2026, as analysts evaluated the token’s technical structure. Their assessments focused on breakout confirmation, moving-average compression, and the support zones that could shape its next move.

As of writing, XRP is trading at $1.48, showing an increase of 0.07% in the past day. The 24-hour trading volume is standing at $6.12 billion, with a market capitalization of $93.18 billion. Over the past seven days, the XRP price has gone up by 49.1%, according to CoinMarketCap.

Why Is $1.65 Crucial for the XRP Price Outlook?

Popular analyst Egrag Crypto highlighted that the “red roadmap” for XRP remained active. His assessment focuses on how the token reacts near the decisive $1.65 level.

The XRP price was trading at $1.45 when Egrag shared his recent analysis. He noted that $1.65 is the gate that will determine the market’s next direction.

A failure to break this level will mean that the downtrend technical structure will be maintained. According to Egrag, the token is expected to move to its 333-week exponential moving average.

This move will lead to either making a bottom or making a higher low before heading up. Egrag noted $1.05, $0.95, and $0.85 as a possible macro bottoming area for the coin.

His chart shows the declining 50-week EMA getting closer to the rising 333-week EMA. The XRP price sits between these two long-term trend indicators.

According to Egrag, this is an inflection point for the token. His expected pattern begins from $1.45 and will involve rejection near $1.65.

The path then includes a 333-week EMA retest, a bottoming phase, and a gradual recovery. However, a strong weekly close above $1.65 will render this pattern invalid.

How Can XRP Price Regain Momentum Toward $1.70?

Moreover, another analyst, Diana, mentioned XRP’s pullback after the token rallied from roughly $1.00 to $1.70. She said the XRP price is consolidating between $1.47 and $1.50 as momentum eases.

Diana identified the $1.42 as the closest dynamic support and level for short-term consideration. She set the strongest visible support breakout in the range of $1.29 to $1.30.

On the upside, buyers must recover the area between $1.50 and $1.60. The local high at $1.70 remains the next key resistance point in the analyst’s perspective.

The Relative Strength Index has retreated from the values above 80 down to 62, according to Diana. The reduced level reveals that the XRP price has stepped away from the overbought territory after the rally.

The analyst noted that momentum had cooled, despite XRP staying significantly above the price before the breakout. It suggests that the market is resetting without erasing the earlier advance.

Consolidation inside the $1.42 to $1.30 range will maintain the bullish technical scenario intact. After that, the XRP price will have to reach the area between $1.50 and $1.60 ahead of testing the $1.70 mark.

However, the break below $1.42 will create the downward pressure towards the $1.29 to $1.30 region. A breakdown below the $1.30 will be the first sign of a waning breakout move.
