Zcash price is consolidating after breaking through several resistance levels, bringing the $850-$900 zone into focus. Buyers now face a crucial test near $900, while bearish RSI divergence could increase the risk of a pullback if ZEC fails to secure a sustained breakout above this historical supply area.

Zcash price continues to consolidate a strong rally after breaking out of several key resistance zones, setting up for an advance toward another historical supply zone.

With the breakout, the asset’s short-term momentum has improved, along with bringing back focus on its long-term structure, where technicals indicate that the crypto is approaching an important decision zone.

As of the time of writing, Zcash price is $870.72, with 24-hour trading volume being $6.35 billion and market capitalization at $14.67 billion. ZEC price increased 4.17% over the past 24 hours, while its market dominance reached 0.55%. With the latest move, Zcash is close to its historical resistance in the range of $850-$900.

Zcash Price Breaks Key Resistance Levels

Zcash recently broke out of resistance zones at $570, $600, and $640, indicating stronger buying momentum.

It follows a breakout from the daily triangle formation that formed since June. From a technical point of view, this breakout helped accelerate the active impulse wave and set up for the upside move to $675.

The current formation looks similar to the previous market cycles that happened with Zcash. Crypto analyst Crypto Patel mentioned the rally that took place in 2017-2018 when Zcash’s price rallied from around $22 to $900 before it declined about 98%.

In 2020-2021, the price of ZEC rose from $18.50 to $372 only to decline about 96% during the distribution period.

According to Patel, the recent rally of Zcash started from the accumulation phase near $15.85 in July 2024 when the ZEC started rallying towards its current levels.

The analyst also referred to Grayscale’s spot Zcash ETF, which started trading on NYSE Arca on August 25. This development provides a new market catalyst as institutional exposure becomes more accessible.

Zcash Buyers Eye Decisive $900 Breakout

However, the analyst warned that Zcash is now trading within a historically significant $850–$900 resistance region. RSI has also developed bearish divergence, meaning momentum has not fully confirmed the latest price expansion.

This combination could increase volatility and make further gains more difficult without a sustained breakout above resistance.

For market participants, the $900 level has become an important technical threshold. A decisive breakout followed by sustained support above that level could change the current technical assessment and strengthen the bullish structure.

Conversely, rejection near resistance could increase selling pressure and expose ZEC to a deeper correction after its substantial advance.

Zcash’s next direction therefore depends heavily on whether buyers can convert the $850–$900 resistance zone into support. The immediate technical target highlighted by the bullish setup remains $675, although ZEC has already moved above that area. Investors should monitor volume, momentum confirmation, and price behavior around $900 rather than relying solely on the recent breakout.
