Zeus Bitcoin Wallet App Overcomes Apple’s Rejection & Launches New Version

In an unexpected turn, Zeus, the Lightning Network-enabled Bitcoin wallet, has successfully resolved its issues with Apple and released a new app version.

Just yesterday, reports surfaced that Apple had rejected the latest update of the Zeus app, citing concerns about the transmission of virtual currency without the involvement of a recognized financial institution or relevant exchange.

Apple told Zeus:

To resolve this issue, please provide documentary evidence that you have the necessary licenses and permissions to distribute an application with cryptocurrency exchange features in all locations where your application is currently available.

However, today, the founder of Zeus, Evan Kaloudis, took to Twitter to announce the exciting news. In his tweet, Kaloudis revealed that Zeus v0.7.6 had been approved and made available on all major app stores, including F-Droid, Google Play, and the Apple App Store.

Bitcoin Wallet Zeus v0.7.6 Highlights

The latest release of Zeus brings several noteworthy features and improvements. Users can now write notes on transactions, payments, and invoices, allowing for better record-keeping and organization within the app.

Additionally, the app now offers multiple exchange rate sources, giving users the option to choose between Zeus and Yadio as their preferred source of fiat exchange rates.

Point-of-sale (POS) functionality has also been enhanced, enabling users to associate existing payments with open orders and hide those orders for a cleaner interface.

The development team behind Zeus has been hard at work addressing various bugs and compatibility issues.

The v0.7.6 update includes fixes for balance refreshing, compatibility issues with CLN 23.05, Android back button problems, and more. The team has also implemented several user experience improvements, such as the ability to copy invoice details, removing unreachable code, and fixing loading indicator glitches.

With the new version now available for download, Bitcoin Wallet app users can enjoy a more robust and user-friendly experience.

The successful resolution of the dispute with Apple showcases the resilience and determination of the Zeus team to provide a secure and efficient Bitcoin wallet solution.

Nevertheless, Zeus’s ability to adapt and address Apple’s concerns demonstrates its commitment to compliance while still offering innovative solutions for Bitcoin enthusiasts.
