Bitcoin Miner Marathon & Brink Join Forces To Empower Core Developers, Aims To Raise $1M

Marathon, a prominent bitcoin mining company listed in North America, has recently partnered with Brink, a fully-donor supported organization, to raise funds for bitcoin core developers, according to the press release.

The collaboration aims to gather up to $1 million in donations to support the crucial work of these developers in maintaining and enhancing the Bitcoin protocol.

BTC core developers play a vital role in the decentralized payment network by maintaining the open-source software that governs the Bitcoin network. They volunteer their time and expertise to ensure the protocol’s smooth functioning and security.

To enable them to continue their valuable contributions, Marathon and Brink have come together to raise funds. Marathon has committed to matching all donations made to Brink, up to $500,000, throughout 2023. The partnership will kick off during the Bitcoin 2023 conference from May 18 to May 21.

During this period, Marathon will match all donations made to Brink on a two-for-one basis, with a maximum donation of $500,000 from Marathon.
