Blockchain.com has signed a memorandum of understanding with NYSE Group to explore global access to tokenized U.S. exchange-listed stocks and ETFs through the New York Stock Exchange’s planned digital alternative trading system (ATS).

The initiative could give Blockchain.com’s more than 44 million confirmed accounts access to fractional and round-the-clock trading, subject to required regulatory approvals.

Blockchain.com Targets 44M Accounts With Tokenized Securities
The proposed collaboration would connect Blockchain.com’s global crypto-native user base with NYSE’s planned digital ATS.
The platform is being designed to support tokenized securities, including U.S. exchange-listed equities and ETFs, in a blockchain-based trading environment. Blockchain.com said the arrangement could extend access to these assets to tens of millions of users across its international platform.
The partnership does not mean the proposed trading service is immediately available. Blockchain.com and NYSE said access will depend on securing any required regulatory approvals. That distinction is important because the companies are currently outlining a distribution arrangement around a trading venue that is still being developed.

NYSE Digital ATS Brings 24/7 Trading Into Focus
NYSE has been developing a digital trading venue designed for tokenized securities and continuous trading. ICE previously described the platform as combining NYSE’s Pillar matching technology with blockchain-based post-trade systems, including instant settlement and stablecoin-based funding.
The planned structure is intended to extend traditional market infrastructure into an always-on digital environment.
For the crypto platform users, the proposed model could also change how tokenized securities are accessed. Fractional ownership and trading outside conventional stock-market hours are among the features highlighted by the companies. However, those features would operate within the regulatory and market-structure requirements applicable to the eventual venue.
SEC Exemption Sets Rules for Onchain Stock Trading
The announcement follows a significant regulatory development in the United States. On September 17, the SEC issued a temporary, conditional exemption allowing certain Tokenized Securities Venues to facilitate permissioned trading of tokenized NMS stocks through automated market makers and liquidity pools.
The exemption is scheduled to expire five years after publication and includes conditions around investor protections, trading limits, smart-contract audits and coordination with the underlying stock market.
The SEC’s framework therefore provides relevant context for Blockchain.com and NYSE as they work toward tokenized securities trading.
It does not automatically approve this specific partnership or guarantee that every proposed tokenized stock product can operate under the exemption. Instead, the order establishes a temporary regulatory framework while the Commission gathers information and considers longer-term rules for onchain securities markets.
Blockchain.com Expands Earlier Tokenized Stock Access
Blockchain.com has already moved into tokenized equities through its partnership with Ondo Finance. In February 2026, the company expanded access to more than 200 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs across 30 European Economic Area states through its DeFi Wallet. Ondo Global Markets had recorded more than $8.7 billion in trading volume and over $556 million in TVL at the time of that announcement.
The new NYSE arrangement would add a different layer to that existing activity by connecting Blockchain.com’s user base with a planned NYSE-operated digital ATS.
The MOU also includes two-way market-data distribution, with ICE Data Services planning to distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data and analytics to its subscribers. Meanwhile, the crypto platform plans to incorporate selected NYSE and ICE data feeds into its application, potentially giving more than 44 million confirmed accounts access to real-time stock information.
