NEAR Price Eyes $20 Breakout Amid Bullish Momentum and Intents Growth

NEAR price has nearly doubled in two weeks as the token approaches a potential long-term breakout above $20. Bullish EMA alignment supports the current trend, while an elevated RSI points to strong momentum. Meanwhile, NEAR Intents has surpassed $30 billion in cumulative volume, adding to the ecosystem’s growth story.

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) is showing strong bullish momentum after a powerful rally, with the token approaching a potential breakout from a long-term pattern. Technical indicators support the upward trend, while rising ecosystem activity and growing Intents adoption further strengthen the broader bullish outlook.

NEAR Price Approaches Major Breakout

NEAR is attracting renewed market attention after delivering a sharp rally over the past two weeks. Crypto analyst Moustace described the asset as an “absolute beast,” highlighting that NEAR has gained almost 100% since his previous market update. The token is now approaching a potential breakout from a long-term pattern.

According to the analyst, the pattern has been developing since 2020, making the current price structure particularly significant for traders watching NEAR’s longer-term trajectory.

A confirmed breakout could open the door toward substantially higher levels, with Moustace suggesting that a move above $20 could become possible if the setup plays out.

NEAR Price Strong Bullish Structure

From the TradingView technical analysis, it is revealed that NEAR is in an extended period of consolidation in the summer, with the price staying under the $2.00 mark before moving into an abrupt vertical growth phase.

As such, the move resulted in the price climbing up towards the $4.80 mark before a small pullback to $4.285.

This larger trend is still being confirmed through the placement of the 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day exponential moving averages.

All of these EMAs have formed what is referred to as a bullish configuration, and as such, it shows that both short-term and long-term price trends are rising.

NEAR RSI Signals Elevated Momentum

While there is an excellent price structure, the NEAR momentum indicators seem to be overbought. The RSI indicator, in particular, is at 78.91 against its signal line of 72.41 in 14 periods. Such high levels on the RSI indicator show that there is high buying interest but could point to exhaustion.

The fact that the RSI is quite high does not necessarily mean that the overall bullish pattern is invalid, especially when there is a strong growth in the market.

However, this may indicate that the NEAR might go through some consolidation or even correction prior to continuing on another move higher.

NEAR Intents Surpasses $30B Volume

The bull setup in the price of NEAR is forming amidst growing activity on the NEAR ecosystem. According to Token Terminal, NEAR Intents has recorded more than $30 billion in lifetime volume, and its daily volumes have hit all-time high levels.

This development indicates substantial transactions within the intent-based infrastructure of NEAR.

The increase in the level of Intents usage gives another angle to understand NEAR’s recent performance in the market.

Increased usage does not automatically translate to any increase in value of the token, but the increased usage is still an indication of the increased level of activities on the platform.

Confidential Intents Gain Ground

NEAR Protocol further drew attention to an important innovation associated with Confidential Intents, saying that the TVL of all confidential Intents has exceeded that of the publicly available NEAR Intents.

The innovation points at the growing usage of confidential functionality in the ecosystem in interaction with the intent infrastructure.

“Confidential is the new default,” says NEAR, thereby reinforcing how NEAR is heading towards the execution of intents with an intent on privacy.

With the volume of Intents at record highs and the rise of Confidential Intents, the ecosystem is contributing another dimension to the market story ahead of NEAR’s technical breakthrough.
