Heart and his wife, identified in reports as A.K., were detained. Authorities reportedly seized 12 mobile phones, eight computer cases, six laptops, 20 graphics cards, 14 solid-state drives, seven flash drives, and three memory cards.

The search also uncovered three handguns, four rifles, seven magazines, 1,360 rounds of ammunition, and a dagger. Other reported seizures included two drones, gold bracelets, gold necklaces, a watch, $600,000, €2,600, and 50,000 Turkish lira.

SEC Lawsuit Brings Earlier Crypto Allegations Into Focus

The arrest renews attention to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s legal action against Heart and his cryptocurrency ventures.

In July 2023, the SEC brought charges against Heart and three entities under his control, such as HEX, PulseChain, and PulseX for alleged illegal securities offerings of cryptocurrencies amounting to over $1 billion.

According to the regulator, Heart and PulseChain have misused over $12 million of the funds received from the offerings by buying luxury items like sport cars, watches, and a 555-carat black diamond dubbed The Enigma.

According to the provided documents, Interpol put out a Red Notice in 2024 about allegations, including those of tax fraud and assault. The Turkish news reports also refer to the notice being linked to a Finnish request regarding crypto fraud.

These allegations are different from the arrest reports and do not prove guilt. The exact grounds for the operation in Istanbul should be clarified by the authorities.

HEX and PulseChain Face Renewed Investor Attention

The possible arrest of Heart may lead to the reassessment of HEX, PulseChain, and PulseX due to the possible implications of the development on their own communities.

However, the current reports have not provided any indications of an immediate effect on the prices, volumes of trade, and liquidity. The real market figures should be available for the analysis of the influence.

Investors may also separate legal risk associated with the person behind the business venture from the evolution of the technology behind the business, adoption of the technology, and performance in the market. It is important to evaluate the three environments separately without assuming that the arrest influences their market trend.

Future important developments include official recognition of Heart’s status of being detained, explanation of the allegations behind the Interpol arrest warrant, and any court rulings regarding the extradition of Heart.

The Interpol Red Notice asks for the provisional arrest of the individual in question by the police authorities, subject to extradition or other legal procedures. This is not an international arrest warrant, and every country has its own legislation regarding how to act upon such a request.

The provided documents do not clarify whether the process of extradition has been initiated or how Turkish authorities plan to proceed with it.
