Uniswap Integrates Sky’s LitePSM For Stablecoin Routing 2026

What to know:

  • Uniswap 2026 integration with Sky’s LitePSM enables DAI, USDS, USDC trades at 1:1 with no slippage.
  • Cuts price impact and MEV, while standardizing stablecoin liquidity across Ethereum and L2s.
  • Pushes DEXs to internalize liquidity and sets stage for more assets, cross-chain routing, and regulatory focus.

Uniswap now uses routing to Sky’s LitePeg stability module which enables the platform to execute any trade involving DAI, USDS, or USDC at 1:1 parity. Through this change, the biggest decentralized exchange will be linked to Sky’s on-chain liquidity, So less slippage of stablecoin trades which do not require reliance on outside market makers.

Major Details and Companies Involved

LitePeg is essentially the mechanism used when connecting to these three main stablecoins so that the trade is automatically cleared (1:1 rate is achieved), without any slippage. Because of this, Uniswap does not only get liquidity at a good rate but also at a higher volume as it taps millions in Sky reserves that settle at the peg.

Participants in the change are Uniswap Labs and DAO, the decentralised governance Uniswap the protocol, and Sky, the rebranded name of Maker which continues to mint USDS and DAI. Also, no new smart contracts were launched through which the changes were implemented; the upgrade essentially consists of routing logic adjustments in the UniswapX and router stack.

Why It Matters For Market Structure

Liquidity from stablecoin legs makes up almost all of DeFi trading volume. Clearing them at the same level as reference (i.e. at parity) eliminates traders’ price impact and MEV risk and makes aggregators and institutions’ trades better. It is the developers’ main objective because it will mean that the stablecoin liquidity is standard across Ethereum and L2s.

That means any route that needs a DAI, USDS, or USDC leg can clear that hop at parity

For the Sky, it is a means of getting USDS and DAI involved in lending activities but also of integrating them in DEX flow. The decision points out the growing number of protocols that are trying to internalize stablecoin liquidity rather than leave it to an outsourcing mechanism.

Context And What Comes Next

As RWA-backed stablecoins develop rapidly, getting parity efficiently is turning into something necessary, a sort of building material. Based on Sky’s disclosure, in Q1 2026 PSM had nine-figure depth, although exact figures may change due to redemptions.

This new feature paves the way for other DEXs to follow and potentially leads to stablecoin issuers competing to provide such modules. The next thing after that is to see whether asset support will be broadened, if cross-chain routing will be introduced and what role regulators play in view PSMs as a means of systemic liquidity venues.
